Q: Hello,
We are a Filipino couple. We have a Georgian marriage certificate; UAE authenticated but we did not register the certificate to the Philippine consulate as I am still legally married to my X-husband although we’ve been separated for almost 7 years.
Is my Georgian marriage certificate valid in the UAE? And is it valid if I want to get pregnant here in the UAE?

Informing the employer about an employee's marriage upon his refusal to register it
Q: Dear sir/madam,
My husband and I got our marriage solemnized in India in front of 35 people conducted by a church priest but we did not register our marriage. It is the 2nd marriage for both of us. We have a letter from the church for the marriage.
My husband approached me from Dubai when I was in India and now I am also working in Dubai. We have been together since then until May 2022 in Dubai, whenever I called my husband to register our marriage, he refused.
Later I found out that he has an affair with a lady in India and he even stayed with her together in a hotel for 2 days when I caught them with the Police in India. I found out recently that my husband has hidden our marriage from everyone; he has informed his company that he is single.
Can I email his employer with our marriage proof, and inform them that I’m his wife, to add that to their records?
I really want to do that because marrying and living with me for 7 years and spreading false information that he is not married has affected me mentally.

Legal status of marriage
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to enquire about my legal marriage status. I had a non-legal nikah marriage in the UK. Myself and my then husband moved to Dubai.
This nikah certificate was attested/ certified for visa/ legal purposes, however, I'm unsure of whether the UK would now recognise this nikah as a legal marriage, as another country has recorded it as such. If so then I would have to also legally divorce. As my divorce currently is an Islamic one.
Please, could you advise me further of if there are any ways of checking this or confirming etc? I had no legal marriage ceremony in Dubai.
The second question I have is that if I get a court order here in the UK for child maintenance. Is this then able to be registered in Dubai (can this be used to seek to enforce) in case he failed to pay? If so how much would this mirror order cost?

Respected Law Team Members, I am writing to seek genuine legal advice and guidance for our friend regarding an ongoing issue with her employer.
On 23rd May 2025, she received a termination notice via WhatsApp from her sponsor, which clearly states that she is required to complete her handover by 20th June 2025.
Since receiving the notice, however, her sponsor has been repeatedly contacting her via WhatsApp and phone calls, pressuring her to immediately return the company laptop and office cabinet keys, despite the agreed-upon handover date.
In addition, she has been verbally accusing my friend and making threatening remarks, creating a hostile environment, and causing her emotional distress.
To clarify her legal position, she contacted MOHRE, who advised her to reshare the termination notice to the lady employer about the handover date (20th June 2025) as she outlined in the (Cont-1)

My previous employer filed a case against me for embezzlement and imposed a travel ban. I know for myself it was all a lie, but since the case is already filed and the police investigation is still ongoing, I need to find a job.
However, first, I am worried that my new employer will come to know I have an active case. Second, I am worried that I cannot get an employment visa.

Our system doesn't allow us to issue an invoice unless the goods exist in our inventory. We also require this advance or down payment as confirmation of his order.
My customer is insisting on issuing him an invoice and says that this is required by UAE laws.

How can my kids learn about their father's condition without contacting his family?
Good morning,
I have two kids. Their father is in critical care and is not able to communicate, and we have been divorced for more than seven years.
The other side of the family is not communicating with the kids about the father's whereabouts for them to visit him, and they have not been in touch with the kids for the past two weeks due to family issues that took place in court regarding guardianship of the kids.
How can I find a way for our kids to know what is going on with their father and his condition without reaching out to them, to avoid any further escalation?
My daughter has tried to call them, but there was no response.

Please, I need help. I had a case where someone sent money to my account. I was selling USDT, but another person used me, scammed the person, and sent money to my account.
I sent the USDT. I didn't know the person who sent the money to my account, so I gave him the USDT. Later, I was arrested for scam and using cryptocurrency without a license.

I set up a business license in a free zone in 2023. Unfortunately, the license expired in September 2024, and due to being occupied with other matters, I was not aware of the penalties associated with the expiration.
I recently attempted to cancel the license but was informed that a significant penalty has accrued. When I inquired about cancelling my visa first, I was told that it’s not possible to proceed without addressing the license issue.
Could you please advise if there is any legal way to waive or reduce this penalty?
I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this situation with minimal cost.

I received a termination letter from my company for restructuring. Is this considered arbitrary dismissal?
I received a termination letter from my company on January 31st, 2025, with a one-month notice period, stating my last working day as February 28th, 2025.
The reason given for the termination is "considering the current business scenario, the company has considered measures to reorganize the business."

By checking in Al Adheed, I have found there is a marital matter case against me in Dubai Courts. There is a hearing date for next week and the time mentioned in the case status with a link for an online hearing.
However, I have not received any message from Dubai courts regarding this by mail or phone. I have all contact details updated with EID. In this case, what should I do?
