Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I was terminated and provided with a three-month notice period in accordance with my employment contract.
However, the contract is fixed-term (following a switch from an unlimited-term contract) and the termination occurs before the end of this contract's two-year term.
I would like to inquire whether I am entitled to compensation equivalent to three months' salary, as I have read in the federal labor law.
Additionally, the termination letter did not specify the reason for my termination.

Forced to pay visa cost and terminated for another's mistake. What to do?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I am working in a company on probation for 2 months. Due to a mistake done by the former employee who worked in my position, the employer gave me a termination letter with 30 days' notice without considering my explanation.
Also, the prior employee came to train me for these two months and his payment was deducted from my salary.
The employer asked me to pay more than 6000 AED as visa cost from this month's & next month's salary.
As per the contract letter I signed with him, there is a clause as I have to bare the cost of employment (visa related) if terminated on probation.
Kindly help on this since I have to work without payment till my last working day even though it is not a voluntary resignation but an unfair termination.

Terminating an employment contract by employee before one year without fines or ban

Q: Dear sir,
This question is for UAE lawyers.
My employer has written in our limited contract that I cannot work in any competing business in the UAE for one year if the contract is terminated by me or him and also 1 more line that says I have to pay 3000 AED as training fees if the contract is terminated before a year of the contract (I haven't received any training whatsoever).
Is there any way I can terminate the contract before 1 year without any fines or ban?
(The reason for terminating the contract is overtime for 16-hour duty with very poor living conditions).
