Can I renew my trade license and visa if I have multiple cheque execution cases filed against me?

Hello,

I have multiple cheque execution cases filed against me due to financial strains last year.

My trade license and visa will expire next month, along with my Emirates ID.

Is it possible for me to renew my license and visa along with EID prior to settling the execution cases?

The trade license and visa were issued by the free zone authority.

I look forward to your response.

Thanks.

Dear K.,

Thank you for your inquiry.

In the UAE, particularly for Free Zone companies, the ability to renew your trade license, visa, and Emirates ID despite having cheque execution cases depends largely on whether a travel ban or arrest warrant has been imposed as part of the execution proceedings.

If no arrest warrant or travel ban has been enforced yet, then in many Free Zones, you may still be able to renew your trade license and visa.

However, this is at the discretion of the Free Zone authority, and some may request a clearance or no-objection related to pending legal matters.

We recommend:

- Verifying whether there are any active travel bans or arrest warrants under your name, we can assist you with that.

- Consulting directly with your Free Zone authority regarding their internal rules in such cases.

- Exploring the possibility of settlement or installment arrangements to lift execution pressure.

If you wish, we can support you in both verifying your legal status and negotiating with authorities or creditors to facilitate your renewals.

Please let us know if you'd like to book a consultation or proceed with the check.

Kind regards,

Mohammed Salah

Hello,

Yes, even if there are pending cheque execution cases filed against you, it is possible to apply request to the execution judge for permission to renew your trade licence, visa, and Emirates ID.

Dear Inquirer,

Thank you for reaching out.

In general, having cheque execution cases filed against you may affect your ability to renew your visa and Emirates ID, especially if travel bans or enforcement measures are in place.

However, since your license and visa are issued by a free zone authority, the situation may vary depending on their internal policies.

We recommend taking immediate legal action to assess your current status and explore options to renew or protect your immigration and business status.

To proceed efficiently, we advise booking a consultation or authorizing our legal team to represent you before the relevant authorities.

No, you can't if you have an arrest order.

Given the complexities involved with cheque execution cases about renewing a trade license, visa, and Emirates ID in a UAE free zone context:

It is generally challenging to renew these documents while having unresolved cheque execution cases against you.

However, specific outcomes depend on the policies of your free zone authority and potential negotiations with creditors.

Hello,

In most cases, no, you cannot renew your visa or Emirates ID if you have active execution orders (like bounced cheque cases) against you.

The Immigration (ICP) system and the EID system are linked to court records. If there is an active arrest warrant or travel ban linked to a cheque case, the system may automatically block visa/EID renewal.

When your free zone submits the renewal, it may get flagged or rejected at the immigration clearance stage.

So even if the free zone approves your trade license, visa, and EID renewals may be blocked until you resolve the legal cases.

Through a lawyer, you can file a petition to lift the arrest warrant or block, allowing visa/EID renewal.

Under UAE law, having active cheque execution cases may lead to restrictions on renewing your visa or Emirates ID, especially if there are travel bans or arrest warrants in place.

However, in some cases and depending on the Free Zone authority’s internal policies, temporary renewal might be possible. It’s advisable to check directly with the relevant Free Zone authority.

Our legal center specializes in such cases and can assist you with the appropriate legal steps.

Dear Sir,

In general, you cannot renew your trade license, visa, or Emirates ID if there are active cheque execution cases against you.

The relevant authorities may block the renewal until the financial cases are settled. It is advisable to resolve the cases first to avoid any complications during the renewal process.

Thank you for your response.

To represent in total 3 execution cases totaling (219,000 AED) and one police bounced case, how much for your legal fees?

Get me an estimate.

Thank you.

30 Apr 2025, 07:43

It will be the percentage of the claim. Approximately AED 25000, which you can pay in part.

One more thing, if you don't have an active arrest warrant, we can submit a request to the court to get permission from the judge to renew the visa and hold the procedures until the visa process finishes.

And there is a huge possibility of accepting it. We will discuss the procedures in detail. Kindly share your WhatsApp number or contact us by phone.

30 Apr 2025, 07:51

How does the part payment work?

What services will your firm provide to resolve these cases?

I believe there are travel bans and arrest warrants issued for these cases.

Kindly update me.

Thank you.

Will let you know. All these details can be discussed over WhatsApp.

Renewal is not possible unless a request is submitted to the enforcement judge.
