Questions & Answers
Can I return to Dubai after 12 years away on a new employment visa?
Hello,
I came from Dubai to India on emergency leave, but unfortunately, I did not return. It has now been 12 years. Can I go to Dubai on a new visa?
I have already received a new employment visa from another employer.
Can I return to Dubai, or will there be any problems with UAE immigration?
Please advise!

You can return to the UAE without issue, since you didn't leave due to a case or any violation.
Dear Client,
Thank you for your inquiry!
If you left Dubai 12 years ago on emergency leave and did not return, but have now received a new employment visa from a different employer, your ability to re-enter the UAE generally depends on your previous immigration record.
In most cases, if there were any unresolved issues, such as an absconding report or overstay fines from your previous stay, these would typically be identified during the new visa application process.
Since you have already been issued a new employment visa, it is a positive indication that there are no active bans or outstanding issues on your immigration record.
However, for your peace of mind, I recommend that your new employer or a UAE-based PRO service verify your immigration status with the relevant authorities before you travel. This will help ensure there are no unexpected issues upon arrival.
If you require assistance with this verification process or have any further questions, please let me know. I am here to help.
Best regards,

Hello!
It's best to check with the UAE embassy or your new employer to ensure there are no active immigration holds or blacklisting under your name.
Thanks!
Obtaining a new employment visa from a different employer does not automatically clear any existing immigration issues from your previous stay.
The new visa allows a new entry if there are no active restrictions against you. It will be better if you go through an immigration check before entering the country.
If you need further clarification or assistance, kindly share your WhatsApp number.
Yes, under UAE law, if you have been outside the country for over 6 months, your previous visa is automatically canceled.
Since it has been 12 years, you can generally re-enter the UAE with a new visa, provided there are no immigration bans or pending legal cases against you.

Dear Questioner,
Thank you for your inquiry!
To confirm whether you have a travel ban in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE, we can assist you with a comprehensive check for civil and criminal cases.
Required Steps:
Before we can initiate the legal process of a travel ban check, we will require a Power of Attorney (POA) to represent you before government authorities and police stations. To facilitate the notarization of the POA, please provide the following documents:
- A copy of your old and new passports,
- A copy of your visa, and
- A copy of your Emirates ID.
Once we receive these documents at [-------------], we will draft the POA in both English and Arabic and send it to you for review, signature, and return.
Afterward, the POA will be submitted to the federal Notary Public for notarization. The notary will provide a link for a remote meeting with you, during which your original passport will be verified, and you will sign electronically.
Costs and Process:
- Notary Fees: USD 165 (paid directly to the notary). You will receive a digital copy of the notarized POA.
- Legal Fees for Travel Ban Check: USD 325. Once the notarized POA is received, we will check the UAE criminal record system for any criminal cases, travel bans, arrest warrants, or execution files registered against your name. This process typically takes about four working days.
We are here to assist you every step of the way. Please let us know if you have any questions or require further clarification.
Sincerely,
Mohammad Salah
