Respected Advisors, I have been involved in a few criminal cases since 2017, but all of them were cleared by this year. I have obtained release letters for all the cases from the public prosecution office through an online portal. Recently, I also received my residence visa. After the visa process was completed, I applied for a PCC online. However, the request was rejected. I contacted the 901 office, and they advised me to visit the CID. I arranged for a power of attorney to be granted along with all the necessary documents to update the system. Twice I was told to come in person, but I am hesitant to do so because of my previous negative experience. Could someone please advise me whether I must go in person or if the person holding the power of attorney can handle the process? Thank you!

My father died recently. We are Muslim residents in Dubai. I have siblings including a minor who is 16 years old. My father has land and vehicles under his name. If I am applying for inheritance, does the minor need to have a share in ALL the properties and vehicles or can she be given a particular property/vehicle? Secondly, if we want the land to be in her name, and she manages it (like renting and bank), does it require an adult? Can the vehicles be transferred to someone else’s name without including her? Dear Sir/Madam, What are the charges to open an execution file in Sharjah for a divorce case and how much time will it take to execute the court order? My husband told the court that he does not have money to pay for me and my daughter's expenses because he is earning a minimum amount in which he can only survive. In that case, what can I do? He closed all his bank accounts and sent money to his parents in India. He also told me that he will show in court that he does not have a job or money, so the court or police cannot do anything to him. Can you please guide me on what I can do in this case? I do not have any proof of his salary or bank account because he was not informing me about anything related to his financial matters. Hi Sir, My husband had a judgment where he was found not guilty, as the misdemeanor court stated that it doubts the charges against the accused and found no conclusive evidence except the statements in the report files. The court considered this invalid because there was no translator. After this, if the Public Prosecution appeals, will the verdict remain unchanged and be upheld if there is nothing more than this  Can you shed some light from your experience on this issue and say if the result will remain the same?

My brother had a personal loan of 300k. He lost his job, and the company terminated him, and his visa was cancelled, so he moved back home in 2015. He is trying to find a job back in the UAE. Is there any way to get him cleaned, paying the court fine? The bank he had a loan with has been merged with other groups, and he doesn't know who to contact. Repayment is impossible without a job, and finding a job at the age of 50 is not an easy task. Appreciate your advice. Thanks

Dear Sir/Madam, My employer (Federal) signed a 3-year contract with me. They have now given me 3 months' notice, ending my contract in May rather than August, saying that my contract was not renewed. There was no reason given for my non-renewal. My evaluations have been consistently excellent. Further, they are now demanding 3 months of housing allowance be repaid. Is this legal?

I am now serving 3 months notice period as per the labour contract (2 months already served, I am now in 3rd and last month). My employer has put me on forced paid leave to adjust my notice period against leave days balance. I need some clarification per below, please. 1. The employer is paying me a full salary for a notice period of 3 months. However based on the recent announcement from the Ministry of Labor (for Private Co. employees), can my employer reduce my salary temporarily/permanently in this last month of notice period? 2. If the answer to question 1 is YES, how will it impact the calculation of my end of service benefits like gratuity or leave balance encashment? Will it be recalculated based on the revised (reduced) salary? 3. Am I eligible to claim any other Termination/redundancy pay apart from gratuity and leave balance encashment?

Hi, I am a first timer here in Dubai. My employer wants to charge me all her expenses incurred during my application; like medical examination, visa, work permit and the money she gave to my agency. What should I do?

I sold my car and the buyer gave me a cheque. The cheque bounced because the account is closed. He is doing this as a regular business. I have already filed a complaint to the police station and I'm waiting for the judgment from the court. Maybe he will get the fine only. How can I get my money? Which case should I file: a civil case or a car buying fraud case? He may not have anything under his name. If a civil case is filed against him, he knows how to avoid this case .This person has more than 14 cases. Recently, he got out of jail. The issuer of the cheque is a local Emirati guy.
