Rights of the employee in termination with reduced notice period

My company gave me a termination letter dated 19/4/2020 but the letter issue date was 6/4/2020. The company mentioned in the letter that my contract finishes in 5/5/2020.

I just received the letter, signed and mentioned the date. According to my receiving date, I received the termination notice only 15 days.

I already talked to the manager and he admits. What is the penalty for my company?

I am in Jeddah, KSA.

Dear Sir,

As you're subject to Article (37) of the Saudi Labor Law, the company must comply with the termination notice period according to Article (75) of the Labour Law and which is determined within the contract which was signed between you.

But in the case of not mentioning the termination notice period, either party wishing to terminate the contract must notify the other within a period not less than one month.

So in your case, since they notified you in a written letter and dated the letter on 6/4/2020, such termination is illegal and the company shall be obliged to pay you the following:

1- Salary of the notice period month.

2- A compensation of the remaining period of the contract.

3- End of service benefits indemnity based on your working period and according to Article 77-2 of the Saudi Labour Law.

Best regards,
