My limited contract has finished on 07 April and I'm still working and receiving my salary, however, my employer hasn't notified me yet about renewing the contract. In case he does not renew my contract, am I entitled to receive compensation for not being given an earlier notice for non-renewal?

Greetings! I will be running a website (blog-post + classified ads) from home, that provides services and posting ads, and it will accept membership in some countries that speak English. I am located in Dubai. Since it requires a free subscription, I want to ask if I am obliged to register it as business anywhere to be legal, or if I do not register, I will be asked or arrested for running this website. The website is under maintenance at the moment, it will be broadcasting after it is completed. Some points I am really concerned with: 1- Do I need a legal registration of the website as a business? If yes, can you help me find out how? If I register in one country - let's say UAE - will it be legal in other countries e.g UK, US? 2- GDPR is really critical point that we have to consider especially for websites that collect info from visitors if required. What are the major points that we have to focus on GDPR? Kindly help me optimize my website to get rid of any unsuspected legal issue. Regards

I am a manager in a UAE company, I have served 2 years on an unlimited contract. I have been instructed I am on unpaid leave for a 3-month period in light of the current situation. The company is asking me to sign an annexe to my contract that I accept this unpaid leave period. If I do accept, can I still resign during this 3-month unpaid leave period if I get another job?

I should have my final settlement on May 9 as my last day of work will be May 2nd. The company offered me to pay me in 2 payments. A bank transfer was made in the 1st week of May and the second 50% in the 1st week of June by giving me a post-dated cheque. The issue is I didn't plan to stay 1 more month as I should leave the country. 1- Is this legal to offer this kind of payment? What can I do? 2- If I have to stay, they have to pay my expenses (rent and bills) to stay one more month in the country?

I am seeking legal advice to terminate the contract due to a delay in the project for a period of 16 months only. The following is the details of the project as per SPA and some givens: - 30% paid in installments (on time, no delay in payment). - 70% to be Paid on Handing Over. - Expected Handing over date: 1st April 2019. - Longstop date of Handing over: 1st April 2020. - Actual date of delivery announced by developer: 10th August 2020. - Notification sent to the developer by myself to terminate the SPA and return the 30% paid amount. - Developer responded that the notification is rejected as the delay is due to force majeure (Covid-19 Pandemic). Hello I am contacting you from London. I have purchased a property in Dubai in a project in 2005. We purchased two apartments and today we have not received anything yet. This construction project is still going on and the developer has changed many times. Another company now runs the project, and whenever I contact them they say it's going to be ready in the next 3-months or 6-months. It keeps postponing work are currently at standstill. I have contacted them then and the same they're waiting for more information from the Dubai authorities. Every time there's a different story, and we get delayed. It's now been 16 to 17 years since we have invested in this and I would like to put a stop to this now, possibly get a refund and compensation. Hello, I took out a loan in the amount of 4,000,000 DHS, and I repaid the principal amount but I refused to pay the interest which was 800,000 DHS, I still own a property in Dubai and the value is around 3,000,000 DHS. The bank wants to take the whole property as collateral for my debt. Can the bank do this? Or do they have to sell the property, take what I owe them, and pay me the rest? Or will they be taking the whole property? Are they allowed to do such a thing?

Hi, I purchased an off-plan property in Dubai that had an estimated completion date of August 31, 2020. I received an email that due to a delay, my completion date has been pushed forward to April 30, 2022. The email they sent for the delay did not say what was the reason for the delay. Since the developer has violated the SPA by delaying the project past 12 months of the completion date, can I request that the contract be cancelled and get what I have paid back? Do you believe that the developer could utilize Covid-19 as Force Majeure as a reason for not following the contract? Regards
