Dealing with a credit card after losing job due to COVID-19

I’ve lost my job due to COVID-19. I am a school teacher. My school will open in September.

I have a credit card with a bank. What legal action can I do?

No means of paying them for the meantime.

If the amount is due and the bank has a blank cheque signed by you, they can file a criminal case.

It is better to approach the bank and ask them to hold any action until the end of September due to the current situation.

Hello.

Generally, you can reach out to the bank to restructure your credit re-payment, particularly, in light of the directives and guidelines issued by the authorities due to the ongoing conditions.

One thing to be mindful of is whether you had previously given the bank a cheque.

If it bounces, it can result in a potential criminal case against you.

Regarding the school, did you get your end of service benefits?

As for the bank, we can negotiate with them on your behalf.

I can go back in September. The school just gave us a letter that no school. No salary. We will resume in Sept.

I've already talked to the bank but refused to negotiate. They will charge me every month until I have money to pay them back.
