Settling a labor dispute to get entitlements and new visa
Q: The company has cancelled my visa on the 9th of May 2018. After that, I have complained against the company for my due end of services. The case is in court now. 3 hearings already done. Now, my employer is asking me to close the case and he will issue my visa again in his company. My question is, how can he issue my visa when Bangladesh visa isn`t open? One more question, can I get the advantage of UAE amnesty while the case is in the court? Amer is saying I can`t because I have to close case first. And one more thing, how can I close my case. How many days will it take to close the case?

Issuing a new visa after expiry of old visa during a labour case
Q: I filed a labour case against my employer. The judgement came 10 days back and I am planning to appeal. Now, I have got a new job offer and also my visa has expired 3 months back which the old company did not cancel or renew as the case was in court. Q: Hi Sir My company has filed a complaint against me in Police on the 5th of September but they stopped my duty on the 31st of May. They did not pay my salary from May to September. The safe option for starting a new business in the UAE
Q: I am interested in starting a new business in Dubai. The offering will be videography/photography and organising events. I am getting contacted by some people who: 1) Wish to transfer their licenses to me (One kind gentleman even agreed to do it for free, he has a few months left before the license expires and is not using it). 2) Some other people suggesting that I can use their general trading license to start my business, by paying them a cut in my profits/some payments on a monthly basis. I want to understand the legal perspective of both these kinds of situations. What should I watch out for? Is this kind of sub-leasing of license legal?

Q: Hi, I have 3 loans in UAE banks since 2016 and I lost my job due to issues. I went back to my country in Jordan and they called me in Jordan to pay the money. I am getting treated for cancer and I cannot afford a penny. I got a job now in Muscat, Oman. Can they know I am here and arrest me? What are the actions? I was told after 3 years the file will be closed in the banks. Plus, I was told I cannot open a bank account in Oman, is that true? Am I in danger?

Actions by the bank to force the payment of credit card dues
Q: I have a FAB credit card, they are asking me to pay an amount of AED 1150 within today or else they will send a legal notice to the HR, CEO and owner of my newly joined company. Can they do that? Q: Hi. Could I please get some advice on the following: I own a company in the UAE, It is an LLC. I am a partner and I have a local partner holding 51%. We have a separate contract that gives me all ownership. I am sponsored through my company. I would like to cancel my work visa with my own company and be sponsored by another company to work for them. My company is run and managed by employees. My question is, am I able to cancel my working visa, be employed by another company but retain ownership of my own business? I will not be taking a salary from my business. Rights of the employee upon termination without a valid reason
Q: Sir, What are my rights (terminal benefits) when terminated from employment as the company does not require my service? There are no negative records in my service period and the company is now trying to reduce the cost as they have fewer jobs than expected.
