Visa cancellation as a partner and obtaining a new employment

Hi.

Could I please get some advice on the following:

I own a company in the UAE, It is an LLC. I am a partner and I have a local partner holding 51%. We have a separate contract that gives me all ownership.

I am sponsored through my company. I would like to cancel my work visa with my own company and be sponsored by another company to work for them. My company is run and managed by employees.

My question is, am I able to cancel my working visa, be employed by another company but retain ownership of my own business?

I will not be taking a salary from my business.

Any help regarding this matter would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

In order to apply for a cancellation of your current visa, you will need to obtain a NOC from your current sponsor stating that he has no objection to the visa cancellation.

Simultaneously you will need to make sure that under your new employment you are not restricted in any way from working for another entity at the same time as your employment with the new company.

If you would like us to review the documents you are requested to sign by the new company to ensure that no such restriction is imposed, please feel free to get in touch with us at V7 Legal using the contact number 04-8716762 or 050-1132587.

Kindly note that the first consultation we provide is free of charge.
