Resignation without notice while on vacation

Q: Hello there, While on duty, my knee got twisted back in November 2017. In Feb 2019, it started to give me more trouble and I did surgery in March 2019. Now, I can`t return to my duty. So I sent a resignation letter but my manager said to me I can`t resgin as I`m on vacation leave. They want me to work for one month. Is there is any way you can show me a way out?

Travel ban across the Middle east for unpaid debts in the UAE

Q: Due to a period of unemployment, I have been unable to clear my three credit card balances with banks in the UAE (around AED100,000 in total when I was unable to continue repayments). I am currently residing outside of the Middle East. A legal agent acting for one of the banks has sent me an email with the line: `We are here advising you not to travel across the Middle East until the account is settled in full final.` Can someone please advise if the above is more than just a threat. What are the consequences if I were to accept employment in a Middle Eastern country other than the UAE?

Resignation in a limited contract for elongated working hours

Q: I want to resign from my current employer because the work environment is not good and telling me to work in the office a minimum of 10 hrs a day without any overtime. I`m on a limited term employment contract with my current employer and my probation is running. If I resign, will they ask for the visa charges or something else? And what is the period of serving the notice period for resignation? Please clear my doubt.

Q: As a Regional Manager with a global company for 25 years, I have a POA & I am on the Company Registration documents. I was made `redundant` and given just a 1-month notice as per my contract. I have still not been removed the CR and POA. Do I have a right to a longer notice period until the company removes me and I am no longer liable for the company matters? Also as this is arbitrary dismissal I have requested the maximum 3 months compensation, due to my seniority & length of service. This has been rejected with 1-month notice & 2 months compensation their final offer `under advice from their lawyers`. Do I have a case?

Q: Good afternoon, Myself H., I have a few outstanding like Auto Loan and Credit Card in the UAE, in which I couldn’t pay my EMI for the last few months. I am unemployed and out of the UAE. I submitted my passport and my cousin`s. Legal notice for holding the rent amount paid through the broker

Q: Good day, Madam, I had a deal with a real estate broker in Dubai for a flat located in Sharjah. Paid everything since 17-Apr-19 after almost 2 weeks still no contract presented to me. I decided to go directly to the building management and found that the broker I contacted did not provide to them the cash and all cheques I have issued, though a receipt was given to me by the broker. Then the building management summoned the broker asking the later to hand over the cash and the cheques, however, the cash is now lacking AED 1000. The building management found out as well the commission charge against me by the broker was AED 2000 which is 40% more and an unnecessary additional charge of 300 for PRO services. Can I make a complaint against the broker? Many thanks

Q: I am working in a reputed aluminium company for 5 years. For the last few years, the company is delaying salary so I decided to resign. Now, what do I do to get my unpaid salaries and settlement? Do I have to send a mail to the HR for the settlement? And if they didn`t take proper action, then only I have to go for legal action? Please reply.

Q: I left the UAE last year with some credit card debt and despite emails to the bank asking for methods to pay from overseas, they never provided the information. They handed the debt to debt-collectors who harassed some people in the UAE telling them there was a travel ban on me.
