Filing a case against employer for labour rights and illegal activities
Q: I am working here in Saif Zone Sharjah as a clerk. I am not getting my salary for the last 5 months, not even getting food allowance. I have resigned from my company and they promised to send me all the dues on the same date as per resignation but it`s not possible. They are taking signature on blank paper and blank debit voucher before joining. The same mistake I have committed also because they told me they need a signature on blank paper for visa purpose and they`ll return this paper after the visa is issued but they didn`t. I have all the evidence regarding all illegal activities which are being done by the company. They are torturing all staff and labours after taking signature on blank paper. If somebody resigns, they are typing settlement and all dues on the blank paper. Please guide me, I want to punish this type of people.

Deduction for expats to pay for GOSI
Q: Dear sir, I am from India and I am doing software developer job in Bahrain; joined in Bahrain 18-03-2019. In the offer letter, they didn`t mention any deductions but in this month, i.e. April 2019, they deducted from my salary 1%. The following rule, in which year onwards was it implemented in Bahrain? Working on a visit visa and paying to issue employment visa
Q: Dear Madam, I am in a company in Fujaira, but the company didn`t sign any agreement with me. I asked them but there wasn`t any tangible answer. They did not even give me any letter that implicates that I am working in the company. I worked with the company two months after two months for my tourist visa to expire. They informed me that I am going to pay for the visa, now every month my salary is cut. My question is, I want to leave the company because the work is hard for my system and the salary is not helping me. So, madam, I need your help what should I do to cancel from the company?

Settlement of debts from a GCC bank and consequences in the UAE
Q: Dear Honorable Lawyers, I worked in Doha, Qatar for 15 years. I serviced a personal loan and had excellent payment records. I got laid off at the end of 2017 and was still paying for another 6 months in 2018 despite being unemployed until I could not pay anymore. I left Doha and returned home hoping I could find a job and slowly settle it. The bank HQ in Dubai contacted me and I told them of my unemployment and also felt ill. Simultaneously, they asked a collection agency to follow up as and I told them the same as well. Now, I am much better and potentially may be hired in Dubai for a job. The question is, can I be banned from entering the UAE? I inquired from the bank to let me know how much I can settle but they are referring to the collection agency instead, which I told them I only will deal with the bank. Can you please address my query if I am banned from entry to the UAE? I don`t want losing an employment opportunity and also to settle the loan, but I don`t want to be arrested nor banned from entry to the UAE. Advise, please.May 3, 2019

Q: I left Dubai in 2009 after being made redundant and unfortunately had outstanding liabilities (credit card) for around AED 218,000. After being unable to successfully find a new job, I had to return to the UK (home country). I want to find out the current status of any travel ban or a police case against my name. Likewise, I want to reach an amicable arrangement to carry on repaying these obligations. Unfortunately, my old passport and residency visa from my time in Dubai was lost in 2012.
