Q: Dear Sir, The case is finished and the judgment came 2 months ago. My employer deposited the money 50 days ago and my visa is canceled now. But I am not receiving the cheque from the court. I am illegal now as it's already been more than 3 months since my visa has expired. Do I have to pay a fine for staying on an expired visa? And when should I receive the cheque? They say I will get a message but it's been so long now and I am not getting any message or call. Kindly help and suggest

Q: Dear Lawyers, Kindly assist please, 1. I got a favorable judgment against my employer after completing my contract without renewal. I executed and they refused to pay after Dubai Court served them notice. I made the block request which was confirmed by Al Adheed, however, the company still won’t pay (But the company pays workers' salaries in between which I can confirm). I saw an update through my account page on the court website that one of their bank accounts has the executed amount and the bank has reserved it. I just want to know how long it will take for the Court to collect the amount from the bank and pay me or if there is another process I have to take. Note- It's been 3 months and 1 week from the Case registration date to Execution Court. 2. Also The company canceled my visa, however, I am hoping to exit the country within the amnesty grace period if I can’t get an employment offer for a new visa. Which authority do I need to inform of my situation while waiting to get paid? Thank you

This Decree sets the rules and conditions for the termination of fixed-term (limited) or unlimited (not term-bound) employment contract between employer and worker in the United Arab Emirates.
