I work for a Meydan Freezone employer under a limited contract. The employer has terminated my contract without notice after 1 year and is not offering to pay 3 months' compensation severance, nor a notice period, nor a correct settlement. They are asking me to sign a contract to waive it. I contacted MOHRE, who stated you need a NOC or referral letter from Meydan, but Meydan stated they do not issue one, and private matters and disputes are between you and the employer.

After an hour, the owner called asking me to delete my review. I messaged him not to pressure me or force me into doing something I don’t want to do, and told him I didn’t expect he wanted me to delete the review in exchange for the vitamins he gave for my fur baby. I updated my review and mentioned that I appreciated the gesture. But he called again, threatening that his business partner might file a case against me. Can they really do that to me, even if I didn’t directly ask for the vitamins and I didn’t say any bad word against their company? I just made an honest review based on an upsetting and frustrating grooming service.

I bought an investment property last year on the condition that the landlord serve the 12-month notice specifically for the purpose of selling the unit and gave the tenant the notice. The landlord sent a court notice of 12 months for selling the property which was sold to me. Plus at the time of renewing the lease with the new landlord (myself) during these 12 months. It was mentioned in the contract that the landlord will not renew. It was also mentioned that the validity of the contract is until the date of court notice. The landlord sold the property as per the notice. The tenant got their 12 months. Now the tenant is refusing.

That pending amount was never updated on the Mollak system as a write-off, and until now, it appears as outstanding on the statement of account. Hello Sir, My friend had a large personal loan and paid installments for 1.5 years before losing his job. A criminal case was filed in 2019, but he was cleared with a fine as the judge accepted that job loss insurance covered the loan. Funds were credited (shown in the statement & SMS), and customer service confirmed twice that the loan was cleared. He also paid AED 10K+ interest for the insurance. A year later, a cheque case was filed by a debt company and bank—he won with the same documents. Now, in Jan 2025, the bank filed a commercial case. The court appointed an expert, but the expert ignored his evidence. he showed that a key page of the contract (stating job loss insurance) was missing from the bank’s submission. The bank told the expert the credited amount was a “loan write-off,” but gave no proof. The expert never investigated his findings. I need advice on whether this verdict can be appealed and whether it’s worth pursuing further. My friend is in India now

Hi, I rented an apartment 4 months ago, it is managed by a real estate company. I am going through a technical issue in the unit; the balcony door does not block the noise, and I live near a couple of construction yards. The property manager sent his team several times to fix the issue, and it only got worse (they replaced the original brushes with weaker ones). The balcony is attached to the bedroom, and I cannot use the bedroom for sleeping due to outside construction noise, especially during the night. Even earplugs do not help with the strength of the noise. The property manager is currently ignoring my requests to fix, saying that they cannot get a refund for the wrong fix, and according to them landlord does not agree to pay for another brush replacement. We have had an email exchange with the property manager for this issue for 3 months already. The court considered this invalid because there was no translator.
