Q: My ex-employer asked me to pay back my visa, medical, agency hiring costs, apartment (it was apart of the package) and vehicle cost (also apart of the package).
Now, they are pestering me to pay back the apartment costs with PDC’s, but my visa has been cancelled and I'm now in the process of getting a new visa with a new employer.
Do I have to pay anything back?
(Further information: I was on a limited contract which I worked the 30 days' notice period and terminated my contract early, and the apartment isn’t owned by my ex-employer, so he is sub-letting to me)

Can the employer add in the offer letter to claim visa expenses in case of resignation?

Q: Hi.
Companies A & B are owned by the same person.
I was hired under A with a job offer stating that if I do not finish my 2-year contract, I need to pay visa costs and training, etc.
However, my visa was processed under B which is a DMCC company. And non-completion of visa payments was not mentioned in the submitted contract during visa processing.
Is my offer letter with A still binding, and do I have to pay if I will only stay with the company for 1 year?

I have been working in Dubai for over 6 months in a security company but now I want to change my company or leave this company.
My company didn't allow me to do it. They asked me to first pay the visa fee and leave. Should I pay for it?
I have already paid when I came here. I have already paid in my country for the visa, and flight ticket. Now, what to do?

Is my employer's withholding of my settlement a breach of contract?

Q: Hello Everyone,
I was working with a private company in Dubai under a limited contract. I resigned after completing 1 year and served 30 days' notice period (I completed probation also).
My total settlement amount was around 7300 AED. But the employer only gave me 3000 AED. He is holding back around 4300 AED as a visa and Emirates ID charge.
My last day with the company was last week. I have requested to release this 4300 AED, but the employer refuses to do the same.
Is this a breach of contract as the employer is saying the same and holding my settlement amount?
If I complain to the ministry, will I get this pending amount or will the ministry support the employer?
Please help me with your thoughts on this.
