Q: Greetings!
Can I terminate my contract during my probation period?
As it's written in my contract that 3 months notice period is required for both parties when terminating the contract.
Also, it's written that I need to pay AED 6000 as a training fee if I would resign by my own willingness before 1 year.
My question is, can I resign during my probation period with one one-month notice period and without paying the compensation fee for training (6000 AED)?

Q: Hi sir,
I worked in a company for 7 months on a limited contract. I've submitted my resignation and need to pay the visa costs.
Today, I received the HR's resignation approval letter. They mentioned a 6-month position ban, but didn't specify the visa cost.
My MOHRE contract also doesn't mention any amount.

Q: Good day,
My offer letter stipulates that I must repay the visa processing fee incurred by the employer if I resign before completing 18 months on the job. The probation period for the role is 6 months.
I would like to know if I am liable to pay the visa processing fees if I resign after my probation period and whether it is legal for an employee to be asked to repay the visa processing fee.

Q: Hello,
A month ago, I joined a company with a probation period of six months, but now I have received another opportunity that is better for me.
However, my contract states that I must pay 5,000 AED to my current employer for training and visa costs if I choose to terminate the contract of my own free will.
However, I have not received any training so far. The contract states:
The Second Party shall be obliged to pay back the value of the training (which is estimated at an amount of 5,000 AED) when they terminate the employment contract based on their own free will (within one year) from the date of commencement of their contract, without prejudice to the First Party's legal or contractual obligations. (The amount agreed upon for the value of the training period must be commensurate with the employment period of the employee).
Can I resign from my current company and join another without paying?

I wanted to purchase a 2-bedroom apartment in JVC Dubai. I gave a 10% security deposit cheque to the seller. The price mentioned in the MoU is very high compared to other similar apartments in the same building.

One of the articles in the MoU states:

How is the probation period calculated exactly from the date of signing the contract? 0
Regarding the probation period, when is the deadline for an employer to terminate me if the DOJ anniversary is Friday 2nd Feb?
Will the six-month period end at midnight on the 1st, therefore completing six months, or can the employer still terminate on the 2nd?

It was attested and submitted to the court, but the case still hasn’t been dropped and is now with the public prosecution.
What do I do now, as I need to travel urgently?

We received a cheque which has now bounced. We have tried for over a month and a half now to get a new cheque from the person, and every day he says the next day.
We need the money now. We have been to the police station, and they said they can not do anything as the reason the cheque bounced is "Insufficient funds."
We have been to Al Barsha - Dubai Courts, and they said there is nothing they can do about it.
We are not sure what we can do. We need the money asap to pay our kids' school fees, let alone all the interest we have lost.

After working with them for 1 month, I experienced a salary delay, and I had to go to the office to ask why there was a delay in my salary.
That is when the HR told me she deducted my whole salary to recover the transfer fee.
Now my question is, who is supposed to pay for the transfer fee, the employee or the employer?

I paid money to a documents clearing company in Dubai to process a freelance visa for me. After receiving payment, they kept delaying and didn't even start the process.
