I left Dubai on an outpass. Do I have a travel ban?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have lived in Dubai for 5 years. I left Dubai in November this year on an outpass to return to London, UK, for a family emergency.

I owe 15,000 AED for overstaying fines, which I plan to pay when I return in January 2024. I still have a valid Emirates ID. How do I go about this?

I was told that I may have a possible ban. Is this true, or is there a process around this?

Can I pay my fine on re-entry at DXB, or can a lawyer efficiently sort out this process as I need to return to Dubai next month in January?

Dear sir,

I hope this message finds you well!

We have taken note of your situation and understand that you have a valid Emirates ID but have mentioned an overstay fine.

To assist you more accurately and provide the most relevant advice, could you please provide us with further details regarding the fine?

Specifically, we need to know the nature of the overstay, such as the length of the overstay and any communication you may have had with the UAE authorities regarding this matter.

Understanding the specifics of your fine will enable us to offer you more precise guidance and ascertain the best course of action.

If the overstay fine is the only issue, there may be straightforward procedures for resolving it.

However, it is important to confirm whether there are any additional complications, such as a travel ban, that could impact your ability to return to Dubai.

We recommend that you consider using our paid service for a thorough check on any travel bans or legal cases that might be associated with your fine.

This service will provide clarity on your situation and ensure that you are taking the right steps to address any potential issues before you travel.

Please provide us with the requested information at your earliest convenience, so we can proceed to assist you promptly and efficiently.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Warm Regards,

Abdellatif Al-Areed

Dear Questioner,

Thanks for your inquiry!

Regarding the above, we would like to inform you that, before initiating the legal process, we will require a Power of Attorney (POA) from you.

This is necessary for us to represent you before government authorities and police stations. To proceed with the notarization of the POA, kindly provide us with the following documents:

- Copy of your old and new passport.

- Copy of your Visa.

- Copy of your Emirates ID.

Upon receiving the aforementioned documents, we will begin drafting the POA in bilingual form. We will then send it to you for review, signature, and return.

Subsequently, we will submit the request to the federal Notary Public to notarize the POA. The Notary will provide a link for a remote meeting, during which your original passport will be verified, and you will sign on the screen.

Following this, we will cover the fees for Notary legal expenses and obtain a digital copy of the notarized POA. Please be advised that the legal fees for the POA notarization process amount to USD 140.

Upon receipt of the digital notarized POA, we will proceed to check your criminal record in the UAE to determine if there are any cases registered in your name.

Please note that this process will take approximately 4 working days and our professional legal fees for this service amount to USD 320.

Hi,

This is Nada.

If you left the country with overstay fines and you did not pay it; that means you got deported.

You can only now submit a mercy request and if it's accepted, you will be able to enter the country.

If you prefer a phone conversation, you can buy a phone call through the website.

If you require any legal support, feel free to contact me via phone.
