Q: I have credit cards from a bank in the UAE and the limit for both cards is 7500 but the outstanding is 9800. I asked for a settlement of AED 4000 for both cards, as I paid more than 2 or 3 times the card limit and it's been blocked for more than 3 years. The collection agent keeps on calling and saying a maximum of 3 installments for 7000 as a settlement but I am not able to afford that amount. Also, the bank is denying to talk and telling me to contact the collection agency for settlement and the bank is not responsible for this. Can you please guide me in this?

Q: Hello everyone, I lived in Abu Dhabi from 2006 to 2017. I left for Canada and applied for PR. Canadian Immigration is asking for a police clearance certificate from the UAE. Since I have a credit card outstanding, I am not able to submit a police clearance certificate from Abu Dhabi, UAE. Can you please advise me on how to resolve this and obtain a certificate from UAE as soon as possible? Thanks

Q: Hello Experts, I need your kind advice regarding my loan. I had a loan of 250k and a credit card of 13k with a bank. When I left the UAE in March-20, my cumulative outstanding of both was 160k. Since then, I'm in Pakistan and hasn't come back to the UAE The bank has bounced security cheques and filed criminal cases. Now I have a job offer from Dubai and they already applied for my employment visa. Meanwhile, I'm negotiating with the bank for a one-shot settlement over the telephone. They are asking me to pay 112k one payment for the full and final settlement of both liabilities. They have waived off all the interest and just asking the principal amount in this way. Please advise if 112k is a good deal considering the situation or I should have to get more discount. Also, advise how should I go forward with them (they said, they'll issue a settlement letter/new offer letter, after which I'll submit the payment and then within 2 weeks they'll withdraw the criminal case).

I want to know how I can clear my fine or cases now as I came to know from someone that I had a fine of 22000 dirhams. What if I pay the fine? Does it mean that all the cases will be closed?
