Can I resign during probationary period without paying compensation?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am on a limited contract (I think, as it does not contain an end date but states a duration of 3 years). I am one month into a 6-month probationary period and I wish to resign.

I am happy to serve the required notice period (14 days as stated in the contract), but I wish to understand if I will be liable to pay the employer compensation for resigning within the 3 years.

Dear Questioner,

If an employee wants to change the job while on probation, to join another employer in the UAE, he has to give the employer a written notice of a minimum of one month.

Dear Questioner,

Submit a legal notice to the employer of not wanting to continue the employment relationship.

Dear Questioner,

If you want to work elsewhere, the notice period must be 30 days, and the new employer pays the visa fees for the old employer.

If you want to resign and leave the UAE, the notice period is 14 days.

If you return to the UAE to work within 3 months of departure, the new employer must pay the visa costs to the old employer.
