Normally, banks in the UAE do not take any legal action or impose a travel ban until you have missed at least 3 payments.

Also, the first step to taking a legal action would be that they will deposit your security cheque, and if it bounces, they will make a police case and impose a travel ban.

If it is only one payment that you have missed, you should have no cause for worry.
