Q: Hi,
Can I file a complaint against a debt collecting agent for harassing me to collect my debts for a bank in UAE?
They have been calling me and I responded to their calls and during my off, they tried to reach me but I could not respond to them due to personal reasons.
They called my parents back home and threatened me saying they will call my boss and sent me a voice text saying "I will make you suffer".
They are using abusive and unprofessional languag like "I am criminal" and "liar" and asking me "Am I a human even?".

How to settle a bank loan to avoid bank harassment in home country
1
Q: Hello,
I have a personal loan (296k) with a bank which I took in October 2019. My EMI (7842) started in January 2020. I have been sincerely paying the EMI's from January 2020 till May 2021.
I stopped after that because of job loss during the pandemic times. I have lost my job in August 2020 and still, I have made sure to make the payment of my EMI's on time till May 2021.
Unfortunately, after that, I have not been able to grab an opportunity to continue my payments as the job market is down due to corona and flight bans.
And now the bank people have started sending multiple third-party people belonging to different companies from India harassing me and my family with calls and messages.
They also reached my home shouting in front of it ill-mannerly with my mother who is a heart patient.
With this kind of behavior, my family's respect has been tarnished in front of the neighbor's.
Please help! I don't want to spoil my career.
Regards,

What can you do against bank harassment when you are paying on time?
0
Q: Hi
I have a credit card from a finance company and I have an outstanding of 10k. I am paying every month on time but from the month of March 2022, the collection department is calling me and being rude to me.
But finally now, before the due date, they messaged me on WhatsApp in a very bad way. The message is like this:
"Dear customer, Tomorrow morning your payment has to reflect in the system. We will not entertain any objection to late payment."
And I do my payment on time but what's this type of messages they are sending me.
What should I do with them for this kind of unprofessional and rude type of harassment?

How to stop the debt collection agency from harassing me at my workplace?

0
Q: Hi,
I would like to ask if it is allowed for any debt collection company to send emails to multiple persons in my company which is HR, the CEO, and other colleagues of mine regarding the liability I have.
Also, they keep on calling my workplace and keep on shouting at the reception to transfer the call directly to our HR Department. I would really appreciate it if someone can advise me on this matter.

Can the bank harass me with the HR at my work to claim a debt?

1
Q: The bank said that they would file an execution case since I couldn't meet their demands. And as part of the process, they will visit my company and involve HR.
Plus, I keep receiving excessive phone calls not only on my mobile but also on the company phones and landlines.
Even the receptionist from the other branch received rude treatment even if I was constantly in contact with them.
My questions are:
1. What is the process of execution case?
2. Is HR involved in this? Do they have the right to visit the company?
3. What can I do so they stop harassing me and my colleagues?
Please, can someone help me with this?
Thank you so much in advance.

My husband sold the house we bought jointlyand took a cheque plus 1-year instalments from me. What can I do? 0
Hi,
I am a non-Muslim indian expatriate, residing in Dubai since 2015. The first 5 years, I was on a working visa, and after the delivery of my first baby, I left my job and became dependent on my husband.
In 2018, we bought a house together where I invested AED 2 hundred thousand from my income (I have proof in the form of a cheque). I also paid AED 3300 monthly installment for 1 year, for a personal loan taken out for the house.
But in spite of my resistance, my husband tactfully put the house in his name, so the title deed was in his name. In 2024, when my kids and I were in India for vacation, he cancelled our visas and residency. He also filed for a divorce in India.
The divorce is not yet finalised, and we are still married. Since August 2024, he hasn't let me access my house in Dubai, so I filed a case, which eventually went in my favor in January 2025.
Since I used to travel on a visit visa, I left for India and returned in March, to find out that my husband had already sold the house. The new owner is residing there.
What can I do now?

Can the employer force the housmaid to work for unlimited hours without rest? 0
Hi
I'm a nanny, and at the same time, I work as a housemaid (khadama) here in the house. I work, but as I know, the nannies and housemaids have different rights, and my employer doesn't give me rest.
My work starts at 7:30 am and then finishes at 10 pm or less. It depends on whether the baby is asleep or what time they will take on me if not yet asleep. Is this right?
Also, at the time of eating, I'm still working because the baby is with me, so I just let her sit in her chair. That's how I eat.
Please answer me. I want to know my rights.
Because if I can leave during the 6-month probation, I want to take it if the employer is this kind. I don't know.
They are also expats, but they don't follow the rules of the UAE regarding a housemaid.

My previous organization has not yet released EOSB because I contacted a client. Is this legal? 0
I recently joined a new organization in the Hamriyah Free Zone, and my previous organization has not released my end-of-service benefits.
The HR has instructed the finance team not to do so because I had contacted one of their clients.
In my DMCC contract, there is no Non-Compete clause, but the offer letter has one, and now they are not releasing the end-of-service.
Is this legal? What are my rights?

Hello,
I have multiple cheque execution cases filed against me due to financial strains last year.
My trade license and visa will expire next month, along with my Emirates ID.
Is it possible for me to renew my license and visa along with EID prior to settling the execution cases?
The trade license and visa were issued by the free zone authority.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks.

Hello,
I came from Dubai to India on emergency leave, but unfortunately, I did not return. It has now been 12 years. Can I go to Dubai on a new visa?
I have already received a new employment visa from another employer.
Can I return to Dubai, or will there be any problems with UAE immigration?
Please advise!
