My unlimited employment contract is with a company in JAFZA with benefits on family status.
As the company intends to shut down and shift outside JAFZA, my services have been terminated.
Will I be entitled to an air ticket for the self & family? And will it be only a one-way ticket or it will be a return ticket?

Q: I completed 3 years, so I am eligible to get my ticket to go back to my hometown because I resigned already and the owner of our company said that you used your company ticket 2 months before.
So now I'm not eligible to get a ticket. Is that true?

Terminating an employee's contract without notice while being in home country

Q: I am a New Zealand citizen, hired by Dubai based company to work for an assignment in Erbil.
I started work in Dec 2019. I had to travel back to India in early Feb 2020 since my mother was not well.
I returned back to Erbil on 3 March. I was told that my services are not required and it is terminated.
During my working period, I did not get any written notice from the Dubai based company or the client.
Now the company refuses to pay:
a) My return ticket.
b) My stay in Erbil due to Corona Virus lockdown.
Can you please let me know how I should proceed.

Is the employer obliged to pay air ticket charges for employee who changed job?

Q: Good Morning
I have one doubt with regard to payment of air ticket charges. The employee has worked for 3 years and now he has resigned and he is not leaving Dubai.
But he is working for some other company in Dubai.
Do we need to pay flight charges for the employee?
Does any law say that?

Denied air ticket by employer after resignation

Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I have been working in a company for the past 5 years and 8 months. I have recently resigned and wish to return to my home country.
However, my employer is refusing to provide me with an air ticket, stating that I resigned and am not entitled to a ticket back to my country.
I require a legal opinion on this matter.

What should we do if our resigned employee claimed unused air tickets in court?

Q: Hi,
Our resigned employee filed a labor complaint in MOHRE to claim unused air tickets amount. As it was not amicably settled, labor transferred the same to the court.
But till now we didn't get any intimation from the court as maybe the employee didn't register the complaint. So what will be the next step taken by the company?
If we transfer the gratuity amount to the employee's account, then can he approach the court again regarding the unused air ticket claim?
Please advise.

According to Article 15 of Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022 (“Executive Regulations”), employees occupying supervisory roles are exempt from the provisions of the Labour Law and the Executive Regulations in relation to maximum working hours only if they possess powers equivalent to those of the employer.
Could you please clarify what is meant by "if they possess powers equivalent to those of the employer"?
