Q: What would be my visa status after divorcing my husband in Dubai?
Since I am on his visa he says that I can continue to remain on his visa, but he got me into this country with our marriage certificate from India under the Special Marriage Act.
Thank you.

Can the visa of the wife be extended after losing the husband sponsorship?

2
Q: Dear Lawyers,
I need clarity as to whether a divorcee visa is still applicable specifically in the Abu Dhabi emirate subsequent to the divorce for a woman who has been granted child custody during the divorce judgment.
I am aware that a one-year grace period was granted to divorced women in the past as part of the divorcee visa but I am unsure if the law is still active as of today.

How can I take my kids to home country to protect them from my abusive husband?

1
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
My husband is refusing to renew my residency, and without it, I will lose my job by the end of this month. Since he wants me to go back to Nigeria, I asked him to allow me to take my kids, but he refused.
I can't leave the kids alone in Dubai because he constantly abuses them physically, verbally, and psychologically. When he is angry, he beats them with a drumstick even when they do nothing wrong and threatens to send them to a village in Nigeria to work on his dad's farm.
He slaps them hard, and the boys cry to me for comfort. He asked them to call me a witch and a bad person. When I was not working, he beat me constantly, saying it was because I was lazy and refused to get a job, despite my explanation that I had been trying.
I need legal advice on how I can be allowed to take the kids with me back to Nigeria. Please, I want to find out what I can do.

Filing criminal and civil cases against a company for cheque bounce 0
Hello,
I hope you're all doing well during this tough time.
I have a question in regards to bounced cheques, specifically corporate cheques.
I have a cheque for AED 800,000, and it has bounced. The owner of the corporate has asked for a month to pay back. However, I am worried he will leave the country and not honour his obligation.
My questions are fairly simple:
1) Am I to put a case on the individual who signed it or the corporate?
1) If I put a criminal and civil case on the corporate right now and he's unable to settle amicably, can I put a travel ban on the owner (who signed) as it is a corporate case?
2) Does the new insolvency law as of late 2019 also apply to corporates?
3) Is the owner personally liable if the company doesn't have assets or cash?
