Can my employer cancel my labour contract and revoke my labour card without my knowledge?

The company did not provide me with a visa after 10 months of working with them. They always promise that it is in process. Then they terminated me verbally.

My family has my passport with them and is not allowing me to have it. I’m a 24-year-old UAE citizen woman, but I can’t have my passport. It’s with my family. How can I take my passport? What are my rights? Also, if my family physically abuses me, what are my rights? Also, if my family hits me and physically abuses me, what are my rights? What can I do legally to have my passport back? And in case of physical violence towards me, what are my rights?
