Filing case for maintenance against husband in the UAE

Q: Dear, I am writing this on behalf of my sister in law: "I married this guy almost 15 years ago. He left for a job in the UAE. Now he rarely visits me in Pakistan in years. He also got married to some other Pakistani girl in the UAE. Meanwhile, he is forcing me to live in Pakistan in his own home and does not directly give me the money to take care of myself and my children. He sends the amount to his father and he then assesses my needs and gives me a calculated amount. Is there any law in the UAE through which I can bind him to pay me my expenses or I can take khulaa (separation)?" P.S. The lady is really heartbroken and desperate. Please respond asap, I shall be very thankful.

Q: Hello, I want to start a drop shipping business (expecting to make less than a thousand Jordanian Dinar a year). Basically, drop shipping is selling a product on an online store without owning the product or having to keep inventory. When I get a sale I go and buy it from Ali Express (which is a website full of suppliers from China) and I ship the product to a customer address (in United States) and earn the difference in money. How to lift UAE employment ban

Q: I was working for Boutique 1, it`s an LLC company. I left the company in October 2015, after working with them for 11 months. So I got a one-year labour ban from them. Then I joined another company which is in a free zone, so my visa got processed and faced no issues in October 2015. I have been with this company for 1 year and 9 months and now I have a job with Landmark which is an LLC as their marketing manager. So I cancelled my visa and applied with them but it got rejected because it says I have a 1-year ban. Now, the ban is from my old employer Boutique 1 (the ban should have finished last year), but since I didn`t leave the country and rather changed my visa within the UAE the ban period never begun. I have filed a request with Tasheel but I don`t think that will help. I have everything needed to lift the ban. The labour contract with my salary a lot more than AED 12,000 attested bachelor`s degree & if necessary I can get NOC from Boutique 1 as it`s been almost 2 years since I left them. Need urgent help!

Premature termination of tenancy contract due to defects of the property

Q: We have still 7 months left on our tenancy contract but the property has too many issues and in one room the ceiling has fallen down due to leaks. Is there any way we can break the contract and receive the rent for remaining months and our security deposit back? Thanks for the advice.

Penalty payable in case of early termination of tenancy contract

Q: My tenancy contract specifies that "In the event of early termination, Tenant shall have to serve two-month written notice prior to the vacating date and to pay two months rent as a penalty to the landlord and the remaining balance to be refunded". Based on that, please advise if during the two months notice I can stay in the property and paying those two months rent (which are effectively already paid) are the penalty or if after the two months notice an additional two months rent should be paid as a penalty? Termination of employment under the UAE labour law

Q: Hi Sir, Please, can you help me understand the following below? I have been terminated from my company in Dubai. They had made me sign one letter on their Official Letterhead that they have terminated me and will be giving a grace period of one month. This was almost 1.5 months ago. After this now they have made me sign the Cancellation Letter for closing the Contract. They are telling me they will be paying my basic salary and not be paying HR, is that ok by Law? Also, they will be deducting the cost of the car and mobile SIM since the letter which they provided to me. Please, can you help me understand the Law of termination in Dubai, so that if in any part they wrong I could take legal action if required?
