Execution of a judgement in a recovery case
Q: Hi, One of my business partners completed a 3-year jail term as he refused to settle the judgment amount of more than AED 200,000 in the UAE. My question is how to collect the amount from him? A travel ban was already imposed 3 years ago. Do I need to approach the court and file a case against him again? Any other legal formalities that I have to follow through court or police station? Compensation in tort committed by mall
Q: Greetings, I am a resident of the UAE. On a visit to one of the most reputed malls in Dubai, I slipped on ice cream that was dropped on the floor by someone else. The mall security was informed and I was taken to the hospital by ambulance that they called for. I was first diagnosed with a grade 2 inversion sprain on my ankle but 5 weeks from the incident an MRI proves it is a grade 3 meaning completely disrupted ligaments. Recovery also will go on into months. I am covered by insurance but would like to know if the mall is liable to cover the medical costs completely. I would also like to know if I can claim compensation for the pain, inconvenience and hopefully temporary disability it has caused? Thank you for your response.Apr 15, 2019

Claiming compensation for a declined job offer
Q: Hello, I got a job offer letter in July 2018 for internal medicine specialist position at a hospital in the UAE. After receiving the offer letter, I obtained the license in August 2018 and paid a fee amount of AED 3020. Then I got from the same hospital`s job offer agreement and visa application form to fill. I was supposed to start in November 2018. I was asked also to finish my notice period in the previous hospital. When everything was done, the hospital decided to put my position on hold. Criminal case and claiming passport from the police to renew visa
Q: Dear Madam, I have a criminal case against me in Al Bhuhairah Police Station. I came from India on Feb 12. They stopped me in immigration and told me that I have a police case against me. Then they took me to the police station. After that, I kept my passport at the police station and went out. Now, the problem is I went to Sharjah court on March 15 and put a request to transfer my file to the court. But till now, they didn`t transfer my file. I went to the court and police station many times but no use. Now, my visa is going to expire soon. How can I solve this problem? Please tell me. I got selected for an interview, but without clearing the case, I wouldn`t get the new visa. Please tell me if there`s an option to clear the case as soon as possible. My visa expires on May 10.

Non payment of a loan EMI and legal consequences
