Execution of a judgement in a recovery case

Hi,

One of my business partners completed a 3-year jail term as he refused to settle the judgment amount of more than AED 200,000 in the UAE.

My question is how to collect the amount from him?

A travel ban was already imposed 3 years ago. Do I need to approach the court and file a case against him again?

Any other legal formalities that I have to follow through court or police station?

Please let me know by email. Thank you

Dear Questioner,

I understand you had filed a civil case against one of your partners and you were awarded a favourable judgement.

During the execution stage, you might have taken all the steps to attach his assets such as properties, vehicles, bank accounts...etc. and the apprehension is the last stage.

You may try executing the judgement in his home country with the help of the embassy which would be a lengthy and time-consuming procedure.
