New company's withdrawal of a job offer after resigning from the old company
Q: I need your suggestion and advice regarding my case. I was working in Abu Dhabi and I got an interview call from Dubai. I attended two interviews and I was selected, then I received an offer letter. Based on that, I resigned from my job and served a one-month notice period. I joined the new company and after eleven days they refused to offer me the job. Now, I don`t know what can I do. I lost my previous job because of them. I want to know what legal rights I have, and what legal action I can take against the new company.

Termination during probation period in a limited contract
Q: Hello Ma`am, I just want to ask for advice, as my employer just recently terminated me under a limited contract. I was hired July 2, 2017, and last Wednesday, Sept 20, 2017, the newly hired HR and General Manager spoke with me that they will no more continue my contract with them. They are claiming that I have made delays which I`m not aware of, and they didn`t send me any warnings through email. I have filed one-day sick leave when I was not really feeling well. Immediately on that day, they gave me a cheque which I served for 20 days only. They just told me without any notice period, and haven`t informed me or warned me if I have committed mistakes with their policies. Is this right? Thanks in advance.Oct 12, 2017

Checking a possible ban for unintended overstay in the UAE
Q: Hi Sir. Hope you are doing well. I came to Dubai on a visit visa in 2014. I got a job and the owner of the company asked me for money to issue the employment visa. I paid him the amount, but the employer didn`t apply for my visa and went to his country. I filed a case against him in the court, but he didn`t come to the court after he returned to Dubai. The main problem was that I had given him my original passport, and that`s why I didn`t exit the country. After 10 months, I went to Al Aweer jail and I took exit without paying overstay fine. I had given fingerprint and eye scan also. Now, I want to come back on partner visa and I want to know if I can come on that visa or not. Appeal for reducing the punishment of a theft crime from jail to fine
Q: A judgement issued today in a criminal case for stealing has resulted in a jail term of three months. An appeal application hearing has been made, in order to turn the jail term into a fine. The appeal date has been set for January 2018, and we were informed that we can make an application to have the appeal heard earlier, is this possible? Checking visa status after exiting the UAE for more than six months
Q: I was on an investor residence visa in the UAE up to 2010. I had to leave back to my home country and stay due to family issues. In the meantime, my residence visa expired in 2011 and I did not go back since then. I apprehend, there might be some problems due to my long absence. Precautions during court proceedings to guarantee your rights at execution
Q: I am seeking compensation for damages from a company that used my name in fraud. I have finished the case until the appeal court and the execution court has ordered that the company assets and accounts be attached until they pay the sum required as per the judgement. The company has been closed since last year and has no more money left in the bank. If there are no more assets of the company I could go after since the company no longer exists, how else can I get justice aside from the words written on a few sheets of my case judgement paper? I`ve spent a lot and exerted a lot of effort seeking justice for myself, and when it is time to collect what the judge has determined what I should have, apparently there is nothing left. Is there any other legal recourse? Thanks
