Wrongfully accused of assault. How to prove innocence?
Q: Greetings, In 2018, I was wrongfully accused of assault. My colleague got into a fight with a local man outside of a restaurant. I never got involved but was somehow accused of assaulting this person. When I spoke to the prosecutor, I mentioned that there were several CCTV cameras that would prove that I never assaulted anybody but was told that "the CCTV cameras weren`t working on that day". I was jailed for 20 Days, released on bail, and left the UAE without going to court in fear for my life. I recently requested my records which indicate an arrest warrant, 20,000 AED fine, 2 months in Jail, and a deportation order. I understand that the best way to have this settled is to file an appeal and appear before the judge. My biggest concern is what happens once I arrive in the UAE for the appeal. Will I be arrested and jailed again and potentially in a worse situation than before? I really would like to finally get this properly resolved so if anyone has any suggestions, I would love some advice. Thanks!

A brother is arrested in the UAE. What to do while being in home country?
Q: Dear sir/madam, My brother was arrested about 3 weeks ago because his visa was due and he overstayed. Since then, I haven`t heard from him, his lines are switched off. The people who got arrested together with him have since then been deported to Nigeria, but he is yet to return. There are no other offenses except for overstaying. What can I do? How to cancel my visa and start new visa process if I have a pending case?
Q: The court issued a preliminary judgment to involve the expert in the reports. However, based on preliminary judgment documents I submitted my request for labor to cancel my labor card from the company. After the process, the legal advisor from labor said, the court judgment is not final so the company has the right to refuse the cancellation, therefore, they dropped the cancellation request. Please advise if what the labor did is correct. And how can I cancel my visa to let another company proceed with the visa?

The property seller refused to sell the property without an MoU and asks for higher price
Q: This is to report that I paid a 10% security cheque of the property value as agreed upon & accepted by the owner to sign the MOU/FORM F. But the real estate agent told us that there is some technical issue while generating the MOU document with land and need to update the title deed. As I have a pre-approved bank loan, the real estate agent informed me to proceed with property valuation and confirmed meanwhile the documents will also get updated with DLD. After waiting for almost 2 weeks when we asked to generate MOU, the agent told the seller to back out & wants to sell at a higher price. It was delayed by the broker & seller for not signing the MOU/Form F & backing out after almost a month should be considered unlawful. As agents, they should secure the rights of both parties, in this case, where I was not at fault as the buyer, and the agent took their own time to find a new buyer at a higher price.
