Q: Sir, I'm from India and I got selected for one of the construction companies in the UAE. Actually, I'm a BTech graduate civil engineer. I worked as a civil engineer in India for the past 3.6 years. Now, they gave me an offer letter as a civil foreman, but I'm demanding them to give me the designation of a civil engineer. I'll accept the visa as a foreman. They are trying to convince me with the foreman only after entering in the UAE. They will give me civil engineer designation only like that agent people are telling. Is there any link between the offer letter and the visa process which I have to sign? Please, help me with this.

Q: Dear Sir/ Madam, In my offer letter, the designation is Accounts Manager; however, since I have not attested degree certificates the employer promised to give me Archive Clerk Visa. They took my thumb impression and signature on blank paper and later they issued me a Messenger Profession Visa. When I inquired about the same and refused to accept the Messenger Visa, they are blaming me that I agreed to this Messenger Visa and asked me to pay the visa costs and leave. I sent the resignation and agreed to pay the visa cost, but the visa cost is double what they have quoted. Note: the visa is not stamped on my passport. Will I get any ban from MOL, if the visa is cancelled? Kindly advise... Thanks in advance

Q: Hi Mrs Khan, I have recently received a job offer, I have two questions in regards to that. 1. The designation mentioned in my offer letter is "Engineer", but in the MOL contract it's mentioned as "Sales Representative". After contacting the HR of the company for clarification, they told me that due to Emiratisation and quick approvals they are issuing "Sales Representative" visa and after 6 months or a year, I can reproach them and get the designation in the MOL changed. My question here, is it possible to amend the designation in the labour contract in the future and how easy or difficult this process is? What are the disadvantages I may face (if any) of having a "Sales Representative" visa? 2. I have signed the MOL and send it to the company, but it's been 7 working days and I am still waiting for work permit approval, isn't this quite slow for a work permit approval? My contract is a limited contract. Thank you
