Q: My ex-girlfriend has a raging temper and comes to my house to fight. If I don't open the door, she continuously rings the doorbell and bangs on the door creating nuisance and harassment to all occupants and neighbors. Need help to restrain her from this problem.

Q: Hi, It's been 3 months that I moved to this apartment. But the neighbours are noisy that I feel the ceiling will collapse. I complained to the security, to the real estate agency and I even called the police. Nothing changed! I asked the agency to change the flat for me or to fine the neighbours; they completely stopped replying to my calls or emails. What can I do? Please, I’m desperate.

Is there any law regarding the nuisance caused by neighbors in the resting time?

Q: Are there any rules and regulations in Abu Dhabi that forbid the tenants to create disturbing sounds such as drilling, and other maintenance-related jobs on the weekends at their homes? I can not find any resources online. I appreciate it if someone could provide an answer.

Distressed by a noisy neighbor – How to gather legal proof?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have a Russian-Lebanese neighbor, a lady who consistently slams her door so loudly that it makes me uneasy in my living room. This has been happening for over a year. I reported it to the building supervisor and the manager, but they are all Arabs and have been siding with this lady. If I decide to file a case, what kind of proof can I legally gather for the noise she makes? I've heard that video recording is not legal without permission. Is audio recording permissible as proof? I am leaving the building because of this daily disturbance and would like to know if I can include an inconvenience claim with it.

How can we claim our money back if the cheque we received have bounced for insufficient funds?

We received a cheque which has now bounced. We have tried for over a month and a half now to get a new cheque from the person, and every day he says the next day. We need the money now. We have been to the police station, and they said they can not do anything as the reason the cheque bounced is "Insufficient funds." We have been to Al Barsha - Dubai Courts, and they said there is nothing they can do about it. We are not sure what we can do. We need the money asap to pay our kids' school fees, let alone all the interest we have lost.

Hello I joined my new company on February 26, 2025. Upon joining the new company, I asked HR if it was free to join the company, and she said yes. After working with them for 1 month, I experienced a salary delay, and I had to go to the office to ask why there was a delay in my salary.
