Q: Hello good Sir and Ma'am, We have a police case and a travel ban. Is there any way to lift the travel ban so we can travel home and return back with my family? What is the best possible way/solution ease at least? I also want a loan from the main bank for the same bank put a low credit score for us to get money. We are in a tight position to settle. Like it's forcing us to loan on loanshark banks with high interest. Please help. Thanks

Q: I have a police case for a bounced cheque last year March 17. It was against a loan which I drew but later I changed my job. I left the UAE and came back, but before I can do something the bank felt insecurity and immediately they submitted my security cheque to the police station and put a case on me. The same day, I paid the fine and came out. Later, I joined a new company and provided the necessary documents and new security cheque. My account was then regularised (After resigning from the previous company my account was frozen) and since then everything is fine. Now, I want to settle my loan in full. I already mobilised funds needed. I want to know asap if I settle the loan in full, how the travel ban or police case will be removed? Will the bank do everything and give me a clearance letter?

Q: I had a personal loan with a bank in the UAE. I lost my job during the pandemic in April 2020. I stayed in the UAE till Nov 2020 searching for a job but I couldn`t find a job so I was planning to travel to India. They filed a criminal case in October 2020 so I couldn`t exit the country. I paid a fine of 10020 AED in Dubai police station and lifted the ban, then I exited the country. The bounced cheque amount from the bank was 131000 AED. I had a credit card outstanding of 24000 AED from another bank. Now the outstanding is 41020. How to resolve the issue as I am out of the country. Will it affect traveling to any other GCC country? They have filed a case now.

This Law promulgates the Federal Penal Code (Criminal Law) of the United Arab Emirates. Crimes and chastisement punishments shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of this Law and other penal codes.

This Law applies to merchants, as well as to all acts of commerce carried out in the UAE by any person even though he be not a trader. Commercial matters regarding which specific Federal laws are issued shall be subject to the provisions of such laws, and to the provisions hereof which do not contradict with said laws.

The provisions of this law, promulgating UAE Civil Code, govern the civil transactions in the United Arab Emirates. The commercial transactions remain subject to the laws and regulations applicable in their regard.
