Q: I have submitted my immigration documents to a consultant company in Dubai for Canada under a working visa. They committed that the process takes months but they have not yet processed it. I asked for a refund. But they said it will not refund as it is a voluntary withdrawal within the process which is written in the contract. However, I keep reminding them the process for Candan has not yet started. In the beginning, they said that once I submitted my IELTS certificate, they will start to find a job offer in the market of Canada. But I did not submit the IELTS certificate. And they never approached me about this. They keep making false promises they will check and will fund soon. I Have asked several times to connect me with the higher authorities to resolve my issue but no cooperation from their end. I have paid 6000 DHS so far. I need to know if I can claim all my money back legally. How can I make them fulfill their commitment without me bearing any loss?

Q: Dear sir/madam, I applied for an immigration program to Canada known as a startup visa through a consultant in Dubai and paid AED 85,000. The consultant has not been able to get me the letter of support that is needed to apply for immigration to Canada in the time frame mentioned in the contract. When I ask for a refund, the consultant does not respond. The incubator from whom the consultant is supposed to get the letter of support has sent us a mail saying that the way the immigration consultant is operating is illegal. How can I get my money refunded?

Q: Dear Sir I applied for Canada AIPP programs from one of the consultancy agencies in Dubai in 2021, and they told me it would take 1 year for the process. Now it’s more than 2 years. They told me they were applying for me these years but I didn’t get any response from any company, and when I asked them to tell me where they applied, they told me it's confidential. Now I told them to stop my process and they will refund my money but it will be very much less as per them. Q: Dear Lawyers, Due to the immigration consultant's non-performance of the contract, I filed a lawsuit. During the first hearing, my lawyer entered into an agreement with the other party wherein, on the letterhead of Dubai Court, it was agreed that the second party, the consultant, would pay the amount in four equal installments. Without my consent, my lawyer provided his own bank account number in the agreement. Since the second party did not make any payments against the installments, my lawyer filed for the execution of the agreement three weeks ago. I need advice on how to confirm the case proceedings. How can I lodge an official complaint against my lawyer's attitude of not providing any information and only asking me to contact him through WhatsApp messages? Whenever I try to contact my lawyer, he says that since the other party has not paid, nothing can be done. How can I recover my amount when the execution was filed three weeks ago, and the second party is still working in Dubai?
