Q: I have a limited period contract for two years and I want to resign as per the internal contract (2 months).
I received another offer from a different company, and both companies are in Dubai.
Can the employer impose a labour ban on me?
If I get a labour ban, and since the new company is a free zone company, will the labour ban has effect as well?

Cancellation of visa from old employer to work for a new employer

Q: My employer is not cancelling me. They terminated me last November and accused me of stealing which was not proven.
Now, I have a new offer letter, though the salary is lesser. I informed them so they can cancel me already and she agreed as per her message.
But now it’s been two weeks and she’s not replying to me anymore. I’m on a limited contract and finished 6 months probation with their company.
Will there still be a labour ban?
If she files an absconding case against me, what should I do?

How to lift one-year labour ban

Q: Hi Sir,
Myself Rijo, presently I am facing one-year labour ban (as per my knowledge and same mentioned in cancellation paper too).
Now I have a new offer with DMCC free zone but things were not processed because of this ban. DMCC asked me for the immigration clearance. How can I clear this? My previous contract was under limited term so even salary basis also is not helping me.
From other sites I came to know it is possible but still have no idea how, so can you suggest me a solution?

Q: My husband had a one-year labour ban. The kids and I are in Dubai. We brought him on a visit visa last time.
Now, I applied again for a visit visa and it got rejected. Still, his ban period exists. Can I know the reason for visit visa rejection?

Labour ban for resignation before completing one year

Q: I have got a 1-year ban because of leaving my previous job in 6 months and now I have an offer letter from a new company.
They are going to process my visa under unskilled labour which was the same in my previous contract. I want to know if this gets rejected, will I have any legal claim against the company who offered me a job?
Also, they took my visa copy, passport and Emirates ID copy even before issuing me an offer letter. So I assumed they would have already checked my eligibility to apply for a new visa.
Please guide me

وصلتني رسالة من توافق للتواصل مع صاحب العمل على الأرقام المُسجَّلة في النظام ولم يتم الرد وتم التواصل مع العامل ووافق على ما أفاد به المستشار القانوني لدى الشركة وهو غير مُخوَّل وقد تعرَّف عليه العامل.
أفاد أنه سيلغي تصريح عمل العامل وذلك يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 26/05/2020 وطالب باستلام ما في عهدته ووافق العامل على مطالباته، وبناءً على رغبة الطرفين تمت التسوية.
هل يحق للشركة تطبيق حرمان ضدي؟ وما مستحقاتي؟

Checking a labour ban before returning to the UAE for a new job

Q: Hi!
I just want to ask if it is possible for me to go back and work in the UAE after my labour ban.
I have resigned from my work and was cancelled and my employer gave me 6 months ban through the ministry of labour because of breaking the contract.

I got a labor ban due to stay in the UAE without the renewal of my Emirates ID and our company CR.
I would like to travel back to the UAE for a job search on a tourist visa.
Can I get a tourist visa also work visa after accepting a job offer?
Please clarify.

By this Decree Ministry of Labour of the UAE has removed the six-month labour ban for those who changed the job before completing two years of service. Labour ban will be still applicable for workers that qualify for skill level 4 and 5 under various circumstances.

Filing a case for wrongfully encashing a guarantee cheque 1
3 years back I had given a post-dated cheque as a guarantee to a person whom I had to pay the money.
In 3 years time before the due date of the post-dated cheque, I had paid him partially by cash and cheque for which I have his signed vouchers and the PDC cheque details.
He was supposed to return back my PDC on the due date and collect the balance amount that was around AED 4000. The cheque value was AED 115,000.
On the due date, he demanded more money from me and when I refused, he bounced the cheque and filed a cheque bounce case.
He said I gave him a cheque of a closed bank account when he asked the money back and claimed the full amount. I was arrested and had to pay the fine for the cheque bounce case.
With the agreement I have with me and the payment voucher proof, can I sue him back for the false accusation?
And can I claim compensation for spoiling my name and image?
