How to cancel an employee who went on an emergency leave and never came back?

My employee went to India for emergency leave without informing us (we came to know only after calling him why he is not at work and admit that he is already in India).

He said he will come back last Feb 12 but up until now, he did not show up and it's been almost 1.5 months. He has under 1 year of service, his visa started last August 2022 and his leave was last Jan 6, 2023.

How are we able to cancel him and what is the procedure?
