Q: Hi, I am working for a company in Dubai since May 2018. I had resigned in Oct 2018 due to undue pressure and rude behaviour of the employer for the work which was not included in my job description. After consulting with my department who promised me verbally that they will give me support, I was hired for one company and work given to me was of three companies with no compensation. My resignation was not accepted and I was assured that assistance will be provided and another accountant shall be hired for the other companies. Due to a lot of pressure, I could not focus on the core job I was hired for and hence was terminated on 30th Dec 2018 (verbally). This verbal termination has been a part of this every single month and has been torturing and affecting my mental health as well. Passport is held and Dec 18 salary is not paid. Kindly help me with how to approach this situation as I am in terrible financial conditions and want to get paid on time in order to pursue another job.

Q: Dear Madam, I have one question. I need your help actually. I have one case in the public prosecution and my case is still under investigation for almost 7 months now. I submitted my passport and my cousin's. Now, my cousin wants his passport back because he wants to go back home for marriage even I have also so much pressure about his passport and I cannot arrange any other replacement. is it possible if I request my prosecutor to release my cousin's passport and keep only my passport until all this is finished? Q: I have been given a verbal termination notice of two months. What are the repercussions if I can prove that I have been fired from the position of the Chief Accountant because I was not signing on fake payroll sheets to be filed with the labour department, when in fact, actual payroll contains overtime way in excess of local labour laws? Also, should I work full time during these two months as I have to search for a job also during this period? Also, our company had a joint venture and they terminated its accounting staff 4 years back and told me to take up full responsibility of managing accounts and audit of that company over and above my actual working in the existing company, with a verbal commitment that I will be compensated extra for the same. Later on, my company started charging to that joint venture for the accounting services rendered by me, but despite my requests so far no monetary compensation has been passed on to me. Can I file a claim on the same in labour court?
