Q: My company is based in Abu Dhabi and some of our employees in Dubai were terminated last year (September, October, November 2018). We employees approached MOHRE and out of 4 times, only 2 times the company PRO attended. And since the company was unwilling to settle the EOSB or even salaries, the matter was transferred to the court. Since May, salaries were not paid to employees. For the first 2-3 persons, the court had released a judgement and no appeal was done by the company. And even after the execution stage, the company is unwilling to pay money to those employees. To certain employees, the company started sending lawyers and delayed hearings and appealed twice thus delaying things. One employee's health condition was not good and he submitted medically unfit documents to the court but nothing happened till date. The company has a branch in Dubai and these employees are under Dubai. How can the money be collected?

Q: Hello, I and four others filed a labor complaint due to unlawful termination against our former company last year. We each got a favorable result/judgment earlier this year and our cases moved to the execution phase. Each of us has a claim of below AED20k. It is our understanding that any claim below AED20k can't be appealed. However, our former company filed a labor appeal against each of us. How come they were able to do that? Q: Dear Sir, The case is finished and the judgment came 2 months ago. My employer deposited the money 50 days ago and my visa is canceled now. But I am not receiving the cheque from the court. I am illegal now as it's already been more than 3 months since my visa has expired. Do I have to pay a fine for staying on an expired visa? And when should I receive the cheque? Q: Dear Sir, I filed a labor complaint against my employer for not paying my salary on time. The court judgment came on 28 November 2022, and then in December 2022 I applied for execution. On 3 January 2023, my company paid my money to the court and until today (11.02.2023), almost 45 days had gone and I still did not get my money from the court. I don't know if my company paid to court then why does the Dubai court take 45 days to give me my money? I do not understand now. I don't have money for food also and on 30 January 2023, my company manager removed me from company accommodation. My question is, if I do not get my money, then how do they remove me from the accommodation? Where can I live for the last 8 months with no salary and now they remove me from the accommodation? This is not good for laborers, the government needs to understand if a laborer doesn't get his salary on time and he files a case and they take 8 months to solve the case, how does the laborer survive during this time for 8 months and now no accommodation?

Q: How many times can a labor court judgment be appealed? I got the judgment 2 months ago and my employer appealed against the same. Now new judgment date has been announced. Can they appeal again? The case value is 140k.
