Q: Good morning,
I am writing from Europe. My fiancé is a Nigerian citizen. He lives and works in Ajman since 3 years.
He is in trouble since last Monday. He works in night shift. He was asleep in his room when police went there and checked everybody.
My fiancé doesn't have a valid ID card. The police arrested him at a police raid.
He has a valid passport with a valid UAE visa. Since he was arrested, I know nothing about him.
I would like to know if an invalid ID card can be a reason for arresting someone over there.
If yes, how long will he stay in prison? How can I get any information about him?

Legal investigation and representation of an arrested person

Q: Dear Sirs,
I am writing to ask for your kind advice and assistance to help our brother, Artur Ligeska, a Polish citizen who is detained in prison in Al Sadr.
He is terminated since October in terrific conditions and he does not even know what are the accusations. He has been already twice in a court, however, the given public defender has never appeared.
What is more, the case was in Arabic without an interpreter. Artur was given some documents to write under pressure without translations.
Polish Embassy in the UAE, as well as Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has already risen questions to the legal authority to get an access to case files and find out why is he terminated, however without any results.
Could you please investigate the case and help our brother to get out of this prison.
We are looking forward to your answer.
With regards
Mariusz Ligeska

Can I be convicted of driving under the influence even if the alcohol test came back negative? 0
Hello,
I was driving my car when the police stopped me at one point on the road and told me that I was driving under the influence of alcohol.
I tried hard to deny that because I had not actually consumed any alcoholic beverages that day or in the previous three days.
However, a report was filed and a case was opened, but the alcohol test report came back negative. Will I be convicted despite that?
Please answer me. It is urgent.

Can we legally claim unpaid dues for food supplies based on emails and invoices? 0
Hello,
We have an agreement with a company to supply food for their buffet on a daily basis, with invoices to be issued monthly and payment to be made every three months.
The relationship actually lasted for nine months, and payment was made for two periods. In the third period, due to disagreements between our company and the company to which the supply was made, they refused to pay, noting that the outstanding amount so far is fifty-four thousand dirhams.
Can we claim the amount, noting that the agreement is not written, but there are emails exchanged between us and invoices?
