Asking to pay for training costs upon resignation while there was not any training

Dear sir/madam,

I am in my probation period. It has been 4 months and I want to resign from my current job to go back to my country, but my contract states that if I leave before a year then I will have to reimburse the training cost which is 6000 AED; almost 4 times my total salary.

This job is affecting my mental health and I want to leave as soon as possible.

There was not any specific training or course that company offered to me.

Dear questioner,

You are welcome!

Unfortunately, as long as you signed the contract, it is valid unless you can prove that you were not given any training then you can file a complaint.

As I am still on my probation and not a permanent employee, wouldn't that make a difference?

Unfortunately, it is not preferable for you to complete the probationary period first before resigning because this does not improve your legal status.

What will I do to be exempted from all these restraints and go back to my country?

What are my options?

If you are exposed to any harm from work, you can file a complaint, be free from paying the special amount and return to your country.

Because the law stipulates that the costs of visa and accommodation are on the company, companies circumvent the law and set the condition for training fees.

Dear questioner,

You need to pay for that.

If you have your passport, you can leave directly.
