Will I have to pay training costs if I resign from my job in the UAE?

Hello,

I am planning to resign from my job because I can no longer take the pressure I am getting every day. I am only 4 months into the company. It is a limited contract.

This is what bothers me: in the contract I signed, it says that I have to pay the training cost of 5000 AED if I resign before 1 year.

- Will I pay that amount if I resign during probation or even after 6 months?

- If I resign after 6 months, will I still have to pay the full amount or half?

Can someone help me with my questions, please?

Dear Questioner,

During probation, there is no need to pay any amount for resigning.

Dear Questioner,

If it is mentioned in your contract that you pay 5000 for training costs, unfortunately, you will have to pay this amount whether you resign during your probationary period or after.

If there is no training, they are not entitled to claim for it.
