Q: I have submitted my immigration documents to a consultant company in Dubai under a business formation plan in Canada. They committed that the process for stage 2 will take 2 months but since then it has been 6 months, they have not yet processed it. They keep making false promises and they would not let us withdraw our case. Q: Hi All, I paid an immigration consultant to provide me with a job offer for Canada. The office is in Business Bay. We agreed on a total cost of 30,000 CAD and a time frame of 90-120 days. I paid an initial deposit of 10,500 AED in May 2023. After I paid, they told me that the employer charged an additional 5 CAD. They have said this multiple times, claiming that the employer has high demands and the fees have increased. When I asked for a refund, they said I have to wait because they are still working on finding another employer who will charge the same amount. However, as soon as I started asking for a refund, they began to change their story. I no longer want to proceed with this process, and I want a refund.

Q: Good Morning, A fraudulent company committed to providing results from the AIP program in Canada. I paid approximately AED 80,000 in November 2023, and they gave me a post-dated cheque to ensure my amount. They failed to deliver the results as promised; the owner himself decided to roll back the program and proceed with a refund, but he eventually did not fulfill his commitments, even after agreeing to installments. We have been chasing him since March 2024, but he is not responding. He has nothing to say, and currently, he is not in the UAE. In this case, how can I recover my hard-earned money, which is for our children? How can I file a case? Currently, I am living in Saudi Arabia. I know there is some platform where I can raise an online complaint, but I’m not sure how long it could take to finalize the case. What are the chances of winning? Many people have been trapped in this fraud; I am not the only one. The owner committed this fraud through his sales employee with over 100 victims.

The fraudsters allegedly post jobs online or even on reputable websites like #Monster.com or #Naukrigulf.com with too good to be true salaries and unbelievable benefits. Then WITHOUT an interview or fake telephone call interview (which is never done for real jobs in the UAE) provides an offer letter which includes the names and logos of the employer with or without the UAE Embassy stamp and then asks you to pay processing or visa fee to a travel company or exchange companies. BEWARE!
