The period allowed for a respondent to register an appeal to a performance order

Dear sir/madam,

What is the period allowed for a respondent to register a grievance or an appeal to a performance order decision of 15 Million AED?

Is it 15 days from receipt of notice of performance order decision? Or 30 days?

I heard that some recent cabinet decisions changed the time allowed for registration of the grievance or appeal against the performance order decision.

Dear questioner,

It should be an appeal (grievance not valid for that amount) and as per the new law, the time frame is 30 days from the notification date.

Some judges still do not follow that duration, so my advice is if you are still in the time of 15 days, then apply for your appeal to be on the safe side.

UPDATE: The Honorable Court issued the Executive writ after 15 days from the date that the respondent received the notice of performance order decision.

The Performance order lawsuit was for AED 15M.
