3
Q: Hello,
My Moroccan wife (at the time of the incident, now divorced/ex-wife) was impregnated by an Emirati. I found out about it after I took her to Germany (my home country), thinking it's my child.
The baby girl was born there. I filed for a DNA test, which result was 100% negative, this was then legally confirmed by the German court.
I am currently in Dubai and intend to locate the biological father, with the intention of him acknowledging parentage and taking legal responsibility.
Is there a law firm specialized in such cases? If so, what are the steps that need to be taken?
I am not after revenge or money, I only want to secure the baby girl's rights.
Thanks

The legal and financial rights of a son from his father
0
Q: Hello,
I'm enquiring about a law in the UAE. I'm a British citizen born in Shrewsbury, but my father is from Dubai.
Written in the law the firstborn Arab son is entitled to his father's fortune/ land. I've lived in England my whole life as I didn't have a choice when I was younger as certain events took place.
If you type this story on google you'll come across a story of me that made international news. This story made headlines as my father tried kidnapping me and taking me back to Dubai.
Basically, I want more information and my legal entitlements as I'm now 22 years of age.

Filing a petition to demand citizenship rights as a son of an Emarati father
8
Q: I am now 20 years old and was born to a UAE Citizen and a Kazakhstani national. I was born in Kazakhstan and have been residing with my father for a while, while my mother is residing in her home country.
There was no wedlock when I was born and it is not present till now. Am I eligible to apply for the Emirati citizenship? As I have already read in so many articles around the internet that the law states that anyone born to a citizen is eligible for it.
It really hurts knowing, for the past 20 years, that I still don't carry the rights of a UAE Citizen, knowing that the convicted mistake has nothing to do with me. I would be very glad if anyone can help me with this rare/complicated yet possible issue.

The father of a daughter is not willing to admit her. What to do?
4
Q: Hi,
Does the newborn child whose father is from the UAE and whose mother is an ex-pat have the right to have UAE citizenship?
Unfortunately, I am not married to her father but would like him to be obliged to his responsibility as a father. I am now in my country and planning to go back to the UAE with my child to also meet her grandparents.
Will it be possible?

Can a single mother claim child support if she is not married to the father?

3
Q: I have a question related to the new rule in the UAE related to a single mother.
The mother declared herself as a single mother and had a judgment from the court as a single mother and the baby is from a boyfriend without marriage.
Can she later on after 4 or 6, file a case against the boyfriend/father of the baby for monthly expenses?
What legal option she can use against the father of the baby even if she has already declared herself as a single mother and has a passport for a baby?

Can a pregnant woman sue someone to prove that he is the father?
3
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a Muslim expat living in Abu Dhabi. I had sexual intercourse with a non-Muslim expat, and now she claims that I impregnated her.
I do not wish to recognize the baby as mine.
Can she sue me to prove that I am the father?
And what are the consequences if she could, in terms of child support, etc.?

Can I claim Emirati citizenship if my biological father is Emirati but never took responsibility?

1
Q: Hello,
I am 18, and my biological father is an Emirati local who never took responsibility. He has blocked me on everything, and we have never spoken.
Both of my parents were married at the time, so I am under another man’s name, but he also abandoned me and my family about nine years ago.
I would really appreciate guidance on what to do right now, as I want to know if I can obtain citizenship or any legal status.

UAE Personal Status Law (also known as Personal Affairs Law) governs marriage, divorce, inheritance and other personal affairs in the United Arab Emirates. The law equally applies to citizens of the UAE and non-citizens unless one of them asks for the application of his home country law.

View allCan a debt agency access AECB reports without consent for a 15-year-old closed case? 0
Dear Respected Lawyers,
Subject: Request for Legal Advice Regarding Unlawful Practices by a Debt Collection Agency
I would greatly appreciate your advice and guidance regarding a troubling issue my colleague is facing with a collection agency.
The company has been contacting the employer, urging them to ask my colleague to get in touch with them regarding a supposed liability.
This claim is related to a 15-year-old closed dispute with a bank credit card, and the issue seems to stem from outdated and inaccurate information on the AECB report.
Our main concerns are as follows:
Unauthorized Access: The company is accessing her AECB report without her consent. She has never given permission for them to retrieve or view her personal financial information.
How is it possible for a third-party agency to openly access and track AECB reports, especially for a dispute that was resolved 15 years ago?

I was evicted from my apartment to be sold but it was gifted and rented at a higher price. What can I do? 0
I was evicted from my apartment after living there for five years. My landlord informed me a year in advance that the lease would not be renewed because he intended to sell the property.
Prior to this, he attempted to impose a rent increase that was not compliant with RERA regulations, which I refused to accept. He then served me with an official Dubai Court eviction notice, citing the need to take back the property for sale.
Five months after I moved out, I discovered the property was rented out at a much higher price. Upon further investigation, I found that the ownership was transferred as a "Gift" rather than a sale.
This makes it seem like the eviction was only to raise the rent rather than a genuine need to sell.
Do I have a valid case for wrongful eviction against my landlord?
Also, under Dubai law, does transferring ownership as a "Gift" hold the same legal grounds as selling in justifying eviction?

I invested money in a business but my partner is removing me out from partnership. Can I pursue legal action? 0
Hi
I'm an Irish citizen and a resident of the United Kingdom. I got investment fraud in Dubai. I invested money into a business with a Pakistani national guy in March 2024 via bank transfer into his business account.
Now he's giving back the money which I invested in business after 9 months. He's preparing a letter from a local lawyer to kick me out of the business. I do not have any other option than to take out at least my money.
But it's unfair to me that he used my money in business and took all the advantage.
Some people say to me that if you claim money or take legal action against him, it will take too much time and I need to travel to Dubai to appear in court because it is a civil matter. But I'm not a resident.
How can I follow the civil case there?
That's why my partner knows that I can not do anything and this case keeps running long time and in the end nothing happens. But I'm thinking that I will submit a complaint through my embassy and I also have a solicitor in the United Kingdom.
