Liability for delaying the attestation of documents

One of my customers has submitted a document to me for legalization from the USA before 5 months which we have submitted to one of our vendors in Washington, USA.

But after feeding me lots of false information, my vendor has returned the document back to me saying it cannot be attested.

My customer is going with legal action for the loss she faced for the document delay.

Hello,

What kind of documents you are talking about?

Your question is not clear enough.

It was some commercial documents like the Board of Resolution that they needed to open a company in the UAE.

Did the customer serve you a legal notice and/or file a lawsuit against you?

Regarding the agreement with your customer, was it a verbal or written agreement?

What were the vendor's reasons for not attesting the documents?

Please send the documents relating to this matter for our examination.

Thanks,

Ahmed

Dear Sir/Madam,

Many thanks for your query!

Your liability to this customer comes down to the terms of business you signed with the customer for your attestation services.

The business services terms that you have with your partners in Washington are also critical. Please send both documents to us for our review, as five months is a long time to wait for document attestation.

Certainly, the pandemic may have played a part in the delay as several embassies and government offices in a number of countries still remain closed to the public.

Kindly contact us via email for further assistance.
