Q: I was working as a Civil Engineer in an Abu Dhabi based company since this June 2017. In this August, the company gave me suspension and then termination mentioning that I am not meeting their expectation.
The company called me to the office in this September to sign the cancellation papers. I told them to pay my salary and I shall come after to sign. When I asked my salary, the company sent me one document mentioning that from the work site some materials were missing and their cost is 30000 AED and it should be paid by me.
When I worked there, there were no issues. After 2 months of termination, when I asked my salary they are telling like this:
"The cost of these missing items is 30000 AED. So you have to give 22000 AED to the company net amount deducting your salary. Now, we will give you the offer - no need to give this 22000 AED, instead we will not pay your salary."
I did not sign the cancellation papers. Now the company opened a complaint in MOHRE Abu Dhabi against me.
What should I do?

Q: Hi Ma'am,
I have worked for a company almost 12 years as an accounts manager, and the company decided now to outsource a finance team.
The outsourced company offered me a job and they will give me the same package, but I will be working in this company only for 3 months then I will be sent to other clients as well.
This is an Indian outsourced company and I have taken a decision that I am not willing to work with an outsourced company which is unknown to me.
I am working as per JAFZA visa for 12 years. The company gave me a letter with subject stating the cancellation of the contract and I will be served for 30 days notice period.
So, can you please explain to me how I will go through in this situation and what benefits will I get as per JAFZA rules and regulations?

My company early terminated me and the notice finished on 5 June, but the employer delaying to pay the end of service benefits.
Can I file a case in the labour department and how long will it take to solve the issue because my visa is going to finish on 16th July?

1. Basic Salary
2. Allowances
3. Commission (non-fixed)
I would like to understand what the right calculation is as per the UAE Labour Law for the notice period, arbitrary dismissal, gratuity and commission if it is counted.

Q: Kindly help me with the query.
I worked for a company for 3 years 9 months. I joined the company on April 30, 2016, and my employment contract was terminated on Jan 12, 2020.
I am I eligible for notice pay, gratuity, annual leave entitlement and other compensation?
I was on an unlimited contract and my termination was arbitrary.
Can I claim compensation for 3 months' salary if I can prove it?
My notice period is 1 month as per my contract.

Q: Hello sir/madam,
I have been working for a company since 15 November last year and I put in my resignation letter on the 30 of Nov this year. I stated in my resignation letter that I am resigning effective 29th December 2022.
After more than a week, the company says that their understanding is that I will start my notice period effective 29th December. I have sent a clarification email and an amended resignation letter stating that my notice period begins on the 30th of November and my last day of work will be the 29th of December.
The company refuses to accept this and is still sticking on to its logic and understanding and is playing on the wording of the original resignation letter.
I have another job offer and I am supposed to join them by the first week of January 2023.
Kindly advise me as to where I stand as to my legal rights!
