Questions & Answers
Is the employee liable to pay visa costs for resigning in probation?
I am under unlimited contract and still on my probation period. I work in a free zone area as well.
In the contract, it says if I resign under 1 year, I have to bear the cost of the visa, airfare, visa cancellation...etc.
What if I resign just after 6 months and render a 30 day notice period, how would I know how much will I pay?
Do I even have to really pay, and do I get a labour ban?

According to your question, the labour contract requires you to bear these costs.
If you terminate your contract, you must pay in respect of the deprivation.
You can contact the relevant work office by phone or the deprivation inquiries website and its duration and you can contact us via email.

Dear Questioner,
It depends on the contract signed with your company.
As per the law, you shall not pay any expenses unless approved by MOL but some times you cannot struggle and hold your visa not cancelled over a small amount taking such matter to court.

You can resign any time and you need to work in notice period time. You have to pay for your ticket. You don't need to pay anything to anyone and no ban.
