Dear Sir/Mam, Further to your request, it would be logical that you can initiate a labour complaint in the Ministry of Labour for your pending salaries. In your complaint, you need to attach the resignation letter mentioning the cause for giving up your job. Keep in mind that in accordance with Article 121, if your employer fails to pay your salary (i.e. your employer violates the payment term stipulated in the employment contract), you are allowed to leave your work without notice. You may request the labour department not to deduct the amount of visa and tickets from your delayed salary. Cancellation of limited labour contract for salary delays without a ban

Q: I submitted resignation on Feb 4th due to salary delay issues and the management agreed that salary will be on or before 15th of every month. As per that, I withdrew the resignation, but still, I face the same delay issues. And today I registered a complaint in the labour. All I request is to release me without fine. I am ready to sacrifice the dues and settlements from the company. 9 months under limited contract. All I need is to relieve me asap without a ban. The labour department told me to wait for 10 days for salary crediting, and if not, they will go further. As per my complaint, they may release this month pay. What about the coming months? Should I register a complaint in labour every month? Kindly suggest how to solve this and get cancellation without a 1-year ban.

Resignation without notice for delaying payment of salary

Q: I am working with a hotel which comes under the immigration department. I have a limited contract of 3 years. I want to resign and breach the contract due to a delay in salaries. They are paying salary every month but of past months such as I will be paid for September by mid or 10th of Nov 2019. The current employer delays the salaries. How to leave and join a new employer?

Q: Hello ma'am, I am working in a private company in Dubai. My contract is unlimited and my service is 4years 10 months. My employer doesn’t pay salary regularly. There is always a delay. If I ask them, they pay only partial money in cash and the balance amount will adjust in the next payment. This process was started during Covid from Jan 2020 and till today they are continuing the same. Because of such process, my salary got accumulated and it is outstanding. When I check with the employer to clear my dues, they give false promises that they will settle in a week's time. I decided to put resignation and get a new job offer. The employer wants 30 days' notice but the new company said they will not wait for 30 days and need me to join within 15 days. Kindly advise as I don’t want to lose my new job offer and, at the same time, my pending salaries and settlement. Thanks!
