Accepting a job offer and rejecting it to take another

Hi,

I am currently working in India. I have accepted a job offer from a company in Dubai. I have also signed and shared the MoL offer letter.

While I am serving notice period in India I have received another offer from Dubai.

Can I reject and accept the other offer?

What are the legal implications around this step?

Regards,

A. S.

An offer letter is a binding contract if both parties sign the same.

IF it is at the initial stage (before it is filed at the Ministry of Labour for visa quota approval), you may request the employer to cancel it.

The legal implication is damage to be claimed for the breach of contract. For that one has to file a case.

Thanks a lot.

Appreciate if you can also clarify implications with regard to the ban as I am still in India.

Further, I have already received an entry permit. So does that implies that the process is at the final stage?

And is there any legal obligation on the employer to cancel the MOL of the employee who rejects the offer at a later stage?
