Job offer cancelled: employer demands high cancellation fees

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am living in India. I received a job offer in Dubai and was granted a visa. I canceled the offer due to a family issue.

My employer was offering me a salary of AED 3000 but demanded cancellation charges of AED 5000.

Please advise me on what I can do about this!

Dear Questioner,

Since you are not going to join another company and you are under probation, you are free to leave.

No need to pay anything.

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

If you canceled your job offer before actually joining the company and before your visa was issued, it's important to review the terms and conditions mentioned in your job offer letter.

If the offer letter doesn't specify any cancellation charges or penalties for this situation, you may not be legally obligated to pay AED 5,000.

For any further legal assistance, you can WhatsApp us. We have an extensive team of knowledgeable and experienced lawyers to provide the legal assistance you need.

We will definitely be happy to help you.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear Questioner,

It is a valid amount for the expenses that your employer had to issue your employment visa (labor charges, medical charges and visa cost, health insurance).

Best regards
