Consequences of leaving the UAE without proper cancellation of employment visa
I was with a company in Dubai for 22 days, due to a family emergency I left home and paid compensation as in the work contract (45 days salary was the compensation).
After 6 months of exit, I started requesting the company to cancel my visa and Emirates ID, but they are ignoring it. They want me not to come to the UAE again.
Can you guide me on this?

Staying more than six months out of the UAE will automatically cancel residency visas. No one can stay outside the country more than six months then try to enter the country without a valid residency visa.
Therefore, you do not have to come all the way to cancel your visa as it is automatically cancelled if you stayed outside the UAE for more than 6 months.
Emirates ID: Residents who intend to cancel their UAE residence visa for the purpose of leaving the country for good or for the purpose of changing jobs are required to hand over their ID cards to the respective General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
The respective General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs will hand over the returned ID card to Emirates Identity Authority, which had issued the card.
WARNING
Absconding case: If you left the country without informing your employer or without complying with the employment termination procedure like service during the notice period and visa cancellation, then your employer will have no choice but to report you as absconding and you will be banned.
In your case, you left the country without ensuring that the visa is cancelled so in all likelihood the employer must have reported you as absconding. If you come you may be arrested at the airport.
